Can I use a paper towel to apply product?

Paper towel should never be used on any surface you care about…should always be using microfiber towels/mitts

Is this ceramic spray?

Yes don't buy product is almost impossible to remove and doesn't work just buy the original rain works the best

Could this product be used on painted surfaces? I don’t like it on glass but don’t want to just throw it away if it can be used elsewhere.

I doubt if it can be used on anything but glass. Make sure you read how to apply the rain X on your window, it works great when put on correctly.

Did anyone else read this a creamy?

Also remember NOT to spray directly onto the windshield. It is to be put on a cloth and rubbed in.
