The product is advertised as edible. However, the package specifically says for external use only. Additionally, these products are not inspected by the FDA and many times contain various dangerous contaminants (and even cancer causing substances).

This licorice root powder is great. I am not the biggest fan of the taste of licorice root - it's something people either love or hate, basically! But it's good for me and it's better if I have it than not, so I'm taking it. It helps with a variety of things that I contend with. This is ground finely and it's pretty easy to use this in a tea or smoothie or really anything needed. I know it can be used in facials and creams as well. I like that it's organic and I have less to worry about there! It seems to be potent enough where a little packs a big punch.
