A Quality Product
I don't find any of these wireless products terribly durable, but Hawking seems to make good products and to back them up. This purchase was to have a spare one on hand in case of failure. Sure enough, our existing Hawking failed after only 3 months. I returned the failed unit to the company and they replaced it within a reasonable time. (The replacement is now on the shelf awaiting another outage.) The one criticism I have, and it's petty, is that I expected at least a slip of paper enclosed with the replacement apologizing for the defective router. Instead, nothing (except the replacement). Even techs should know that an acknowledgment that they've failed the customer, and inconvenienced him/her, goes a long way. I'm satisfied with Hawking (as opposed to LinkSys, a company I would never deal with again).

Setup is 5 Stars, Performance is 5 Stars, Range if 4 Stars
Giving this an overall 4 because I am not that impressed with the range given this is a "range amplifier" unit.I had a Netgear Wireless-N cable modem/router from Cox (in Scottsdale) that could barely reach to the bedroom. I picked up this unit to try and reach all the way (after trying out an HWREN2 extender and it not working) and while I can make a connection now, it is 1-bar, spotty and frustrating to work with.I expected this to get 3-bars to the bedroom no problem, unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case.Setup, configurability and features are all excellent. That aspect of it makes it an easy recommendation. The only other router I would consider is one of the high end ASUS that are getting rave reviews as well.

Avoid Hawking products
In brief, do not buy this router. It will fail. The website and reviews and description will fool you into thinking you are getting a commercial grade product. It is not.Out of the box you will be impressed with the features, configurability, and range. Over several months, however, you will progressively drop more and more connections and have to restart with increasing frequency. I made the mistake of recommending this device to a neighbor and family. Every one of these devices failed. The wireless extender add on never worked correctly from the beginning. I found myself waiting and waiting for firmware upgrades that might fix some of the problems, although these never materialized. Two of these routers were ultimately replaced under warranty, and again failed. I eventually wired the house with ethernet and began using this solely as a router (disabling the wireless) and added an Ubiquiti wireless access point for wireless connections. Ultimately it failed just performing as a router.I've been perplexed for some time how consumer ("at home") network devices are all such poor quality, when in the commercial world, network devices should rarely fail or need restarted. Finally I found the Ubiquiti line of commercial grade network devices at a essentially consumer level price point. Granted, the setup is slightly more complex, geared towards a different market. However, I have been through the list of every major consumer router brand and can easily say that you will ultimately save yourself money and headaches going with a better quality device such as Ubiquiti and if need be referring to the manual (or a technically inclined friend) for setup. I have been using Ubiquiti products for over a year and have never been forced to perform a hard restart - a practice which has somehow become the norm for consumer grade products. Imagine if the network devices for a hospital or large business needed to be constantly power cycled to work - it would be completely unacceptable - and should also be unacceptable for home products. Combined router/switch/wireless access points are not comparable to dedicated commercial grade routers, switches, and wireless APs. Search amazon for Ubiquiti and even in comparing the reviews you will find this is the same experience of others.

Best Router Around!!
This Wireles Router is simply amazing. I was completly skeptical buying a wireless router with a Ranger Amplifier/Extender built in! We replaced our Netgear router which we paid over $100 for at Walmart with this one! Our house is on the older side and was not completly gutted when it was remodeled. Our computer is located in the "man room" which is the polar opposite to the second floor where our bedrooms are. I was looking for the capibility for us to get wireless interent in our bedrooms for our iphones/pads and my sons xbox for his xbox live and also Netflix on his xbox! This router gives us full strength from one end of the house to the other thru all walls including walls that were never de-leaded!! We have had this a little over a month and have not had any connection issues once so ever! I would and have been recommending this router to everyone I kno!! :)

Dependable Router
It's been working great as a 2nd router wired to my main router. The signal was much better than that of a range repeater/extender.My modem and main router couldn't be moved to the middle of my house to improve Wifi coverage. That left me with poor coverage at the other end of the house. After running an Ethernet line from the 1st router to the second router (at the other end of my house) and creating a second Wifi channel, problem solved. This Hawking is my second. My other is an access point and works great.

Working very well for us.
For years our home required we use two wifi units to cover the rooms over the garage and main living area. Our units were different brands, ageing and the younger generation was always complaining about the speed. I purchased the Hawking 300n HAWNR3 and an access point to replace and gain performance. The units are working together extremely well and the entire house hold is happy. I think the signal from the 300n might have been good enough on its own.

Good product.
Very good router once we updated the firm ware. Drove us nuts for the first week. Customer service was great it was just an update that caused us to loose the signal. Now it works perfectly. I like that I can add different antennas.

Range is nothing spectacular
I ordered this product with hopes of increased range over my providers cheap router. I got little or no extra distance out of it. At 150 feet with no obstructions, connection is not good enough to be considered practical. Perhaps the hi-gain antenna will solve the problem.
