Sturdy, compact, quiet, efficient - overall great machine
This is a really nice rowing machine. It was very easy to construct, it didn't take long at all. It's a really sturdy build, doesn't feel flimsy or likely to break, and has a nice big comfy seat and good size foot rests. In terms of its use, the little computer it comes with is extremely basic. You can count your strokes and the time you've been on the machine, but it doesn't have a timer, and you have to calculate the SPM yourself. It has 12 adjustable levels, but even as a beginner, anything under 7 doesn't give a great workout, so that's a bit limiting. The hydraulics heat up pretty fast, so it's advisable to stop after about 20 minutes and leave it to cool. This can be a bit annoying if you're just getting into it and want to carry on - but you can also do a decent workout either in bursts of twenty minutes, with gaps, or just doing sprints for 20 minutes. Its really quiet, you can listen to music or even watch TV while using it without any problem, and the arms fold in making it easy to store. The leg space is good - I'm 5'7" and have loads of space, it would definitely accommodate someone much taller without any issues. Overall, despite its limits, its a really great machine for the price, and I'm extremely happy with it.

Would recommend
Delivered today. Took about 30 mins to assemble but it was only attaching main bits to frame so no fiddly bits. Absolutely love it and does exactly what I wanted.I am 56 yrs old and 5ft 1”. I’ve lost 4 stone through weight loss surgery and still a long way to go but due to a tear in my cartilage when doing the Couch25k I was scared of knee impact so needed an alternative and I’m definitely not a gym person. A rowing machine seemed a good alternative and after some research I chose this.Machine is brilliant and even after 20 minutes I could feel my tummy area. I put the tension on 4 out of 12. The rowing action can just be straight back and fore or the “oars” move on a pivot like a sculling action which, if you keep your elbows high, I’m sure will tone the back of the arms which I wanted. Instructions recommend exercising in periods of 20 mins to allow hydraulics to cool down and it was “warm” when I finished. As I’m so short I couldn’t use full extent of the bar but I still got a good work out and will easily suit a person with longer legs. I intend to exercise for 20 mins every day and can see me increasing the tension. I’m wondering if a person a lot more powerful in the arms and legs would find it isn’t challenging enough and the hydraulics may overheat sooner (although have not tried level 12) but it’s a good strong piece of equipment and perfect for me.I would definitely recommend this rowing machine and the price was extremely reasonable.

GREAT FOR A BEGINNER
Great for beginner! Easy to assemble, and few complicated parts I bought this in preference to a higher rated more expensive machine that had belts etc, which can go wrong .this is simple but effective and great for a beginner like me! Basic readout gives time, count and calories, all you need. More experienced rowers might find it too basic but for me it's a good start and great value for money!

Easily stored.
Found this machine very good value. Easily put together Looked at others much more expensive with just a pulling action, with this one you can pull or use a rowing action so it gives a good upper body workout. Easy to pull out from under my bed ( big metal bed ) and push back every morning after use. Be consistent and you’ll soon see the results. I started with just ten minute every morning. Rowing to music helps motivation. You can set times on the machine, it has different settings.

Good all rounder for workout.
Really great product. Range of arm movement is good extraThat you don’t get at the gym. Easy to put together, did it myself in no time at all. I have disabilities that affect my motion and this seems like a good all rounder in terms of working different body parts. Could do with maybe having stronger resistance settings but I wouldn’t let that put you off buying it. Folds up not bad really and we have it stored upright.

Wonderful simple machine
This is going to be a very truthful review. This is a lovely item. It's sturdy. It is easy to put together (although i did have to have my hubby tighten everything completely). It doesn't fold as such but the arms lay flat and crossed and it will stand against a wall very well. It's a little heavy for me, i cannot speak for anyone else. It is smooth to use. It has 12 different resistance levels. I am on the first and i have my reasons for it.The machine seat is comfortable and is around a foot height from the floor. The arms can be locked for conventional backwards and forwards motion or slightly loosed for full sculling motion.I have a ruptured disc, cervical spondylosis, radiculopathy and mild myelopathy. The reason for choosing this particular style, is so i am in control. I can choose whether i do just legs, arms or use as a whole whilst not having to get right down on the floor. With the problems i have it's important to try and keep the strength you have for as long as you have as it will deteriorate over time no matter what and whilst i will never be able to get to number 12 on resistance or even probably 6 , it is a smashing piece of easy to use equipment. Very recommended. Thank you very Much.

But fiddly to build
The assembly was a bit tricky, though manageable by myself (confused a bit around attaching the arms). Once built it works well and I'm using it every day so far. Only going a short session each time but tires me out in a few mins. Nice to have so many levels. Quiet enough though there are some noises. Takes up a bit of floor space as I don't think it can stand upright. The computer meter is a bit simple, without an off button (it switches off after 4mins of inactivity).
