Brilliant product
This product is brilliant. My elderly male cat was rushing to the litter tray every 5 minutes. The last time this happened the vet said it could be stress. We were given something to help with that which helps for a while. On that visit to the vet they said the next step would be blood tests, urine samples and maybe a scan. I knew his bladder wasn’t blocked because he was passing urine. This time I tried this product. After 4 days the problem has cleared up. It’s easy to administer. Just break open the capsules and mix with food. The price is good.I will be keeping him on these

It works and seems to taste good!
I have been using this with my cat for a couple of months now, and felt that I should give a review as it seems to be pretty impressive stuff. The best thing about it, is that it mixes well into the cat’s food, and seems to taste good, as my fussy cat does eat it.My boy cat died suddenly 3 months ago, and his sister, who used to be irritated by him mostly, struggled with him suddenly being gone. She started going to the litter tray lots, and either not weeing or just a little. I took her to the vet’s and he gave her something similar, and recommended that I bought this when that was finished.I open the capsule and mix the contents into her food, once a day. She eats her food well and has no more bathroom problems. She seems relaxed and happy. It is such a weight off my mind, as there is less worry about losing her too now.

works for my Cat. decent price but postage doesn't need to be so high.
this does work for my Cat.the item is as seen in the photos.the postage charge is a bit too high because it could EASILY be sent out in a Jiffy bag 1st or 2nd class and it would fit through any letterbox if it wasn't in the overly big box mine came in.it is a very hard/stiff none pull in half capsule which is hard to open without scissors which is no bother of course.it is easily mixed with tinned food.the Cat has no idea He is being medicated so it must be odourless and tasteless to Him.there are no identifying markings on the capsules whatsoever.the main thing is that they do help my 18 month old Polydactyl Tom Cat who has idiopathic feline cystitis (which means the Vet has no idea what is the cause of the inflammation of His bladder and urinary tract) He was on Cystaid Plus from the Vet but i decided to try these because of the L-Tryptophan added.if He does need them long term then i will buy these ones again.

Pee in box
Cat had started peeing next to litter box and in bath despite it being clean! £250 vet bill later no resolution. 2 days on these tablets, back to normal. 6 months later still only peeing in their litter box ...success!

Part of order missing!
As I can't find anywhere else to complain it has to be here. The product is good and works well for my cat, helping to avoid stress cystitis, so no criticism of product. My most recent order, however, was for two containers - 30 capsules in each. One did indeed have 30 capsules the other only 13. To exchange I need to return container unopened!?! It's obviously a packaging error, but I can't seem to find anywhere to inform somone about this.......frustrating!!!

Recommended by vet following urinary blockage
My Maine Coon cat had a urinary blockage at 9 months old. He had to have an emergency operation to unblock him and after a stressful couple of weeks and lots of worry, medication and expense (luckily we had him insured) he fully recovered. At the time, the vet said there was quite a high chance of urinary tract could block again and talked about a bypass operation which we were considering. She then rang to say she had spoken to a senior vet and he said the bypass was extreme action and usually for cats that had recurring blockages. The vet recommended Cystophan for his bladder health (2 per day due to his size) and she suggested he be on them for life. I buy a 240 pack every 3-4 months so it is quite expensive but my cat is now 3 and 1/2 years old and had no further issues so I believe that they work and I don't want to risk taking him off them so it's worth it for the peace of mind. Usually easy to pull the capsules apart (I've had 2 tubs where I had to use a sharp knife to cut off the very end of the capsules which was a bit of a pain) and mix them in with his wet food every morning and he licks the bowl clean. She initially thought that his original blockage may have been caused by holding in his wee due to stress so he had also been on Amitriptylene since the op but I'm happy to say we have weaned him off that. He is a happy cat but he will hide if he hears sudden/loud noise and I can't say for sure if the Cystophan is helping with his stress levels as I haven't tried taking him off them to see what he's like without them, but I'm happy to say he has had no further issues with his bladder so I would definitely recommend this product.
