Performance within Budget. Read my review to know more.
It's a great purchase. Been using it since last couple of months and my laptop now boots quickly and loads content faster. Laptop's temperature is also under control, if you are going for a solid fix and within budget, just go with this SSD. Believe me i have put my countless nights comparing various SSDs and this one stands out.I have Dell Inspiron 5577 gaming. It was all well and powerful through many years. But every gadget ages, i tried upgrading RAM it ran good, mine had a HDD even after upgrading RAM, the disc usage was 100%. Then i decided to upgrade to a SSD after researching the compatibility of my laptop.

Super fast SSD
Installed this WD 1TB Gen 4 NVMe in my Asus TUF F15 and the performance is amazing. Got around 4961 MB/s read and 4842 MB/s write in speed tests. Great upgrade, totally worth it!

Outstanding Speed and Reliability in a Portable SSD
The Western Digital WD Blue SN5000 NVMe SSD is currently utilized in an external NVMe enclosure, and its performance has exceeded initial estimates. The drive offers superior speeds, enabling quick file transfer and silky-smooth performance consistently, even when used externally. Thermal control is properly managed, with the drive staying cool and performing efficiently without any noted performance constraints. The SSD's durability and its extensive 5-year warranty give confidence about its long-term performance. This is a major improvement for portable storage needs, offering a high-performance level and high-quality build. The product is strongly recommended for those wanting a fast and reliable NVMe SSD solution, whether internal or external enclosure setup.

Working Satisfactory
Great product! Works perfectly. I used it as external drive in enclosure. It’s very easy to install and use. Working fine on my MacBook Air and windows. No issue with compatibility.

Great Quality
Working great, and getting read write speed is as advertised on mac mini thunderbolt connection.

Working like a charm
It is pretty value for money and works pretty well. The boot time has significantly dropped as I was previously using a SATA SSD, NVMe made the experience better. It stays around 40 degrees Celsius during max load and idles at around 30 degrees Celsius and I live in a hot climate. Go for it i must say.

Good SSD for my needs under budget. Not meant for heavy use.
I bought this product on June 28th 2025. 1 TB version gen 4. I believe it has around 300 TBW. I ran a bunch of tests and I find the SSD ok. Unfortunately my tests are skewed because I put this in a gen 3 slot of my Ryzen 3 laptop. So, I bottlenecked it's performance. Anyways, it doesn't heat that much. It reached 85°c at the controller when I stressed it with sequential rw. But on a average it is 54°c under normal usage like gaming.Ignore the sequential performance. Look at the random 4k 1thread read write speed to know it's true gen 3 speedRandom 4k Q1 T1Read: 50 MBpsWrite: 104 MBpsSequential 1M Q1 T1Read: 1300 MBpsWrite: 1310 MBpsConclusion: The build is ok. But you should not use this SSD in an nvme enclosure and expect it to give usb 3.2 speed. It barely reads and wrote beyond 34 MBps. Also, your nvme enclosure quality also heavily matters. But if you stick to an PCIe slot it is decent. It doesn't heat too much except under load. So this SSD is not useful for excessive write activities. Make sure to use thermal pads with this to cool the SSD controller a bit. Just don't use this to backup important stuff. Use it for gaming because SSD speed do not matter for that.
