Brilliant for batman fans
Despite different views of the game online I personally loved it. The detail is incredible and the character designs too. It's spooky and has some really difficult levels but overall amazing and fun.

Batman game
One of the best games I've every played, without a doubt in my top 10. Great story line. Despite some of the challenge being quite hard the game is so enjoyable and its so worth the money

Good knight, bad knight
Batman Arkham Knight is the final game in the Arkham series and works as a finale to this arc of the character. You play as the titular character of Batman and as expected strange things are afoot in Gotham and it's up to the world's greatest detective to solve them. This time around Scarecrow is back and has decided to create an icky toxin that makes people go mad and become violent, and before you know it everyone has deserted the city aside from the police, the criminals, and of course the supervillains. The most important of these is the mysterious Arkham Knight, working as Scarecrow's sidekick, who both seems to know Batman very well while also despising him for reasons that are eventually made clear. Batman, then, needs to don the cowl once again and get to work. The biggest and most notable addition in Arkham Knight is the inclusion of the Batmobile, which after three previous Arkham games finally lets you drive it. You get to use it very quickly too, as within the first few minutes of the game you're already told to start riding around in it and familiarising yourself with something you'll be using a lot, and by 'a lot' I do mean a lot as this thing is shoe horned in to the missions all over the place. For the most part this is actually pretty good as the combat, stealth and the general driving are all pretty satisfying, especially as much of the environment is destructible so you can just go through so many things like it was nothing, however it does overstay its welcome and does that annoying thing of being used too much purely because it's a new thing developers added rather than because it was something that would fit each time it was used, which dampens the experience a bit. Similarly sometimes the game doesn't really make it clear what you need to do get to the next part so I was spending some time stumbling around before things finally clicked in place, though luckily these instances are rare. The things you do on the ground and in the air generally work well too. Traversal is very satisfying as you can do a lot more flying around between buildings, especially when you've upgraded your skills, and the same goes for the stealthy predator encounters where you need to dispatch off thugs quietly, with fantastic new gadgets and moves like the 'fear multi takedown' that allows you to take out several enemies at once. The freeflow combat system tends be a bit more of a mixed bag as the core fighting is good but is still let down by things like some awkward controls, such as needing to press square and triangle at the same time for one particular special move, or counters not being as responsive as they could be. On occasion you also get to team up with other characters like Nightwing or Robin and fight as a duo, which was really cool. The side content is a little more uneven as it varies wildly in quality. There are story driven side missions which work as mini stories within the broader plot where supervillains like the Penguin or Two-Face are running around being up to no good as usual and it of course comes down to Batman to stop them here too and put them back in prison. Most of these work well, with the aforementioned Two-Face and Penguin ones working as stealth and combat missions respectively, but on the other hand you have things like the Riddler with the usual tedious trophy system where you need to collect over 200 of them just to see that sub plot end. These are fairly dull just like in the previous games, but are even worse this time around as they include some really terrible new styles of trophies, such as those where you're required to race by flying through the city, only for the game to only show you the endpoint and not where to start, thus necessitating a google just to figure out what the game wants to do, which is just absurd. There is also the usual open world fare of doing things like clearing out watchtowers that works as a stealth scenario or clearing out mines planted in the roads that works as a batmobile combat scenario, with these basically working out as just more Batman and are fine really, not standing out as particularly good or bad either way. Finally the last bit of side content are the AR challenges. These work as a mishmash of all the various types of gameplay that I've mentioned above depending on each particular challenge, but essentially feel identical to the map system of previous Arkham games where the whole way most of these work is to focus on breaking new high scores, and they just ended up being repetitive and boring.Anyway, back to the Arkham Knight. He's the most major character aside from Batman himself and who you get to see even more than Scarecrow, and the reveal of who was behind the mash was pretty well done and caught me off guard, though presumably big comic book fans could probably predict who it was in advance. Visually Gotham looks stunning too and the rain soaked atmosphere especially adds a nice dramatic ambience to the night's events, and things like voice acting and sound effects are to a high standard. The one big downside to the game, however, is towards the end of the story. There's one major plot point that is nonsensically thrown away, which I won't spoil, and made one of the significant plot threads completely anticlimactic. This was also exacerbated by having a terrible ending system where you aren't even allowed to see a part of the finale until you complete around two thirds of all the side missions, and even then you can't see all of it until you've completed every single side mission, including collecting all the aforementioned Riddler trophies, which were awful. These two things combined really soured the story and made the final fifth or so seem terrible, which is a real shame as up until that point it was shaping up to be the best Arkham game story altogether. You do get the option of multiple save slots though, which can be helpful for people who want to experience it all again, but my suggestion would be to stop at around the 80% mark and let your brain fill in the rest.Overall this makes Arkham Knight an okay game. It has some pretty high highs and some pretty low lows, but ultimately this just leaves it to be a middling title that could've been a lot more.

I love the game
Best so far! The best Batman so far in the series, very entertaining, made even better by great characters and design. The Joker is as funny as he's ever been. Usually I don't like games when you carnt kill your enemies, but with this it's well worth not killing.
