Lightweight and worth the money
Note: I received this fishing rod for free from PLUSINNO as a test piece. This is my third PLUSINNO fishing rod, first time testing for the company. Price wise, it is the cheapest of the three and so when I first received it and took it out of the box, it seemed a little low quality at first. However, when I took it for fishing and fit in my spinning reel on it, my opinion on the fishing rod changed. It seems pretty sturdy, while being lightweight at the same time. I am personally not a big fan of the telescopic style fishing rods, but this one seems to work well. It felt nice and easy to use, carrying is easy as well. For the price, I think this is a good, value for money fishing rod. I haven't done a lot of fishing yet this year, looking forward to using this rod more in the weeks to come.

So Compact You Can Bring It Anywhere
My friend brought this rod on a Boyscout Sea Base trip to the Florida Keys. We spent a week on Big Munson island (primitive camping trip). My mind was blown that he could take this fishing rod on a plane in his luggage, then pack it in his small dry bag (each person was only allowed limited gear as we had to paddle out over 5 miles to the island). Once on the island this little beauty was able to telescope to over 6 ft and made for a nice setup to fish while we relaxed. I had to pick this cool telescopic rod up for my self and am now ready for the next excursion when I have limited space. As a travel rod that you can take anywhere it is 5 stars. It is Compact, Made of quality material, Fairly strong, looks very nice, and it casts well. This rod is best suited for lake fishing with smaller species in mind. The compact design has the trade off of a shorter handle.

Excellent customer service
I probably had this for 5 months now. The rod broke maybe three months after I purchased this rod and reel combo and I don’t remember exactly what happened. I think I dropped it and did not notice the damage. It eventually got worsen. I decided to message the seller a week ago to ask about the warranty. I have also attached the same photo I have included here. Without any question the seller apologize and asked for my address where they can send a new replacement. I just received the new replacement yesterday. Last week I caught at least 5 ladyfish on that broken rod. I put a super glue on it and it work perfectly fine. I am hoping to catch my first Pompano on this rod and reel combo. I have a few more rods but I kinda like this one. It’s light and so very easy to cary. I also like the reel. It seems to last much longer.

Excellent purchase
This rod is very nice. Works great with my new reel and fits in my motorcycle bag. I take it everywhere, pop it out of the bike bag and ready to go fishing. The finish is beautiful, it is easy to use, very smooth to operate, and I catch nice fish with it. Prefecrt for travel in the car as well! what more can I say- its perfect for me. GET IT!

I think this is a decent rod but could have been better.
The media could not be loaded. Long Review.Last update (9 months):I had broken and repaired the rod tip twice over the last few months. Basically all of the action of the rod was in the tip and now that it was shorter it had no action.I have since contacted Plusinno and they were kind enough to ship me a new rod, despite breaking the rod being my fault. The new rod now has addressed some of the issues i originally complained about. The lure rating is printed on the rod now. The new rod doesn't have any big deformities on the blanks. They have also now included a removable hook keeper (though its practically useless as they want you to mount in the way of the protective sheath). I am at least glad to see they are paying attention to customer feedback and trying to make a better product. That alone deserves a star.My final consensus is that this a capable telescoping rod but I would not purchase this product in lieu of a standard rod. After having caught multiple fish i can say this. This thing feels and bends like a LIGHT rod but needs the lure rating of a medium rod to cast properly. Feels a little mismatched when casting. The bottom of the handle is too short and doesnt give you enough leverage to properly load the road when casting. For the price, if you solely intend to use this as a seldom backpacking or pond rod i guess it's ok, it will still catch fish. However I don't think it's a good daily rod. If you are looking for a backpacking rod i recommend you just stop looking at telescoping rods entirely and just purchase yourself a 4 or 5 piece travel rod.If i land a heavier >5lb+ fish i will update, otherwise consider this my last transmission.6 month UPDATE:I have stopped using the rod as much because of the heavier weight lures that are essential for this rod to load properly. My initial impressions of this rod were good no doubt because i received this for free but my view has since changed. If you use this rod for prolonged periods you start to get wrist fatigue. It is FRONT heavy even with a 3000 reel. Something I mentioned in the video, the tip of the rod seems to be made of fiberglass for improved action. However it is not a glow/indestructible tip like an ugly stick. I left the rod with the line loaded taught. This caused the tip to bend or mold into place and stay cockeyed even after releasing the line. I regularly leave all my other rods loaded this way and they all spring back straight, even regular fiberglass and graphite ones. I still think the EVA foam handle/reel seat feel cheap and tacky. Ill update one last time when i land a 5lb or heavier fish as so far ive only landed 1-2lbers.Original review:Pros: Really sensitive, Casts well, CollapsibleCons: Quality Control Issues, Questionable Material choices, no hook keeper, 1/4oz + weight strongly recommendedI would probably classify this as a medium light with a fast action. I really like the sensitivity of the rod. Ive been using this rod with a 3000 reel and 10lb braid. I can effortlessly cast 25-30 yards using a 1/4 oz jig. It takes about 15 seconds to extend the rod and set it up for casting. It is collapsible so if you have to navigate through lots of brush its a huge snag saver. Realistically, when i was moving spot to spot i never collapsed it. Fits in a regular backpack no problem. My shiny new rod had a scuffed badge and an obvious deformity or bump. The reel seat feels like cheap plastic, says its made out of graphite in the pictures and plastic in the description. The butt of the rod has a threaded cap made out of metal, but has a little dangling keyring that gets in the way of stuff. It has no hook keeper, which is a problem if you dont want to untie rigs. Line/lure weight is not printed on the rod so its a minor issue. When you cast with lures/rigs lighter than 1/4 oz you get rod lash back at the bottom of the rod. It messes with your casting. Its still manageable to use 1/8 oz but theres a significant decrease in casting distance and feel.Ive uploaded a video as well as some images for you guys to check out. Hopefully this will help you make a more informed purchase.

Excellent for on the go...
This item is awesome, let me start with the weight, it can't be more than a couple pounds with the rod and reel together, if that. This is perfect for those who do a lot of traveling but want to get in some relaxation or just to try out a new body of water in your free time. Although I haven't taken it on a lot of trips or accidently dropped it a couple times, it appears to be able to withstand normal falls or drops here or there. So far I'm elated by this item, highly recommended. I'll attach some photos later, for some reason I couldn't on the initial review. Stay tuned...
