FVLFIL L.T. Wright Handcrafted Knives Larry Roberts Genesis, Scandi, A2 Steel, Fixed Blade (Matte)

Very well made knife, extremely comfortable in the hand.I have pretty big hands and this knife feels good no matter how you hold it.This is a quality knife, as all of the LT Wright knives are.If I had any complaint at all it would be that it wasn't as sharp as I would expect it to be.I have a saber ground GNS that was extremely sharp right out of the box.I believe it is not as sharp as the GNS because of the polishing they did to the scandi edge. Seems like it added a slight convex to the edge. A little work on the diamond hone made it razor sharp. If I didn't know how to sharpen a knife I would have been disappointed in it but it wasn't a problem for me.You can tell that the A2 is good steel for a knife and will hold an edge well. I could see that when I sharpened it.Overall I'm very happy with this knife. I actually like the handle more than on the GNS which is a great handle also.The sheath is pretty good quality, though it seems to be a bit on the thin side. I like the fact that it is black leather.Matches the handle better than the brown leather that you normally get.For anyone who is trying to decide which knife to get I think that the Genesis is the perfect small to medium "Bushcraft" style knife. I love a spear point blade for this type of work and the scandi grind is excellent. I went with this one over the normal Genesis because I like the accent that the white liners give. Either way you would be hard pressed to find a better knife.

I was really excited to get this knife so immediately put it to use. I battoned it through logs, made a feather stick, lighted the fire with the LTW fire rod (purchased separately but with matching handle), split some sticks and used them to cook salmon.This knife is the perfect combination of delicate tool and brute force! It excelled at every task! I highly recommend it!!

Awesome knife! What else would you expect from LT Wright? Beautifully crafted knife at a good price. Still razor sharp after carving through lots of wood (while only stropping the blade). I like to add that the customer service at “Tactical Intent” is great!

The product is very very well known in it’s community.I will be whittling and processing a lot of wood with it.
