SHORT REVIEW: This stuff will stain your hands, wear gloves! It smells like bubblegum! Product recommends 3-5 minutes or 10 for maximum color deposit. I put it on dry hair for 30 minutes & washed off. Great color, more of a red-based purple.LONG REVIEW:Keep in mind: before this my hair was pre-lightened before the color faded. Prior to using this shampoo+conditioner: my color was faded from swimming in a pool & at the beach.I used this on dry hair & left it in for 30 minutes.The product smells like bubblegum & is a little more runny than regular than conditioner. I docked a star from the total review because this stuff will STAIN YOUR HANDS! (To be fair, the directions do suggest wearing gloves. But this is a shampoo+conditioner so I just find this odd. I can't speak for sink stains since I did my best to avoid staining surfaces.) I used a stain remover maybe 3 times before getting the color off my hands.I've used oVertone in the past for other colors & I like the intensity of this product more! I wouldn't suggest using this on a morning when you have to go out right after (work, school, etc.) I bought this at ULTA for $14.99 & decided to try it out since oVertone can take a while to arrive.Other than this product staining my hands I really like it!

I have been struggling to achieve unnaturally gray hair on pale-yellow bleached hair. Reviews of the Diamondista complained of green and blue, so I decided to try to use Purpledacious with a light hand to achieve a cooler gray but was okay if it would turn out purple. WOW! My beige and green sections are now perfect gray and the blue and gray sections turned softly purple after one use like a regular co-wash (wet hair, apply, finish rest of shower and then rinse hair). I will be alternating this with what I have left of another brand of depositing cleanser that isn’t as good. This formula is thin and highly pigmented so shower responsibly and keep vinegar on hand for your tub and tiles!

I used the deep purple color. I’ve had purple for about 2 years now and always used the Purple shampoo from Viral and that’s one was great but it’s a pain to get because you can only get it at a cosmo pro store. So I gave this shampoo a try because the price was good and it was shampoo and conditioner which is awesome because I usually use the purple conditioner from the brand Overtone and it’s amazing. Anyway the results from this shampoo were better than my expectations! It left my hair super purple and soft. I have natural frizzy wavey hair and after using this shampoo my hair was easy to comb! It didn’t leave it dry and super tangle it left it so soft! The smell of the shampoo to me wasn’t strong it’s like a hint of bubble gum which didn’t bother me. I always use gloves because it will stain you! This was a life changing purchase..I loved it!

After reading a few other reviews, I just wanted to refute a few claims and tell a little about my process. The attached picture is the color after three washes with the shampoo.1) It stains hands. Yes, yes it does. On the bottle it states to use gloves so this does not happen. Instead of coming on here and complaining that it stains hands, maybe people should follow the directions. BUT I also wanted to say that if you happen to forget your gloves - like I did - it washes right off. Yes, I had to scrub them three times but it all came off in less than two minutes. No big deal.2) It stains the shower/tub. Yes, it does leave color in the tub when I use it. It is, after all, a dye, and I expected that would probably happen. HOWEVER, it is very easy to clean up! I have used both Soft Scrub cleaner and Clorox all purpose cleaner, and both take it up with minimal scrubbing on my part. It's more of a swipe with the scrubbie sponge.3) Because the color gets more vibrant the longer you leave it on, I've had to experiment with the best way to shampoo it in. I found I wasn't leaving it in long enough if I tried to just do my hair on it's own, so I started using it in my usual shower. It only adds a couple of minutes to my shower time. . I wear gloves the entire time so my hands don't get stained. First I shampoo and condition my hair as usual. Then I rub the color shampoo into the hair. Once I get it pretty evenly into the hair, I put a shower cap on to cover the hair. This lets the color set without a chance of the water rinsing it out too early. Then I continue on with my shower as usual. Once I'm ready to rinse, I take off the shower cap and rinse very thoroughly.4) I use this shampoo every other day and after about the third or fourth time it reaches a very vibrant purple. I get compliments on the color every day.

This was amazing for my already dyed hair! I had a pretty poor experience at a salon. I wanted a dark blue and purple, but I got an ugly green and not so bad purple/magenta. I bought this product to cover the green and enhance the purple/magenta. And that's exactly what it did. It didn't take as well to my undyed, unbleached hair, but that's to be expected. followed all the directions, however I did leave it on for about 20 minutes cuz I wanted a nice deep purple. You do need to wear gloves when using or it will stain your hands. It did stain my scalp, I didn't really care cuz it came out the first time I washed it with normal shampoo. Also be careful to not touch your head to your shower walls it will stain!!! Over all really great product.

I bleached and dyed my hair purple last night. I bought this in advance because I knew that when dyeing your hair with fun colors, it’s important to have a color depositing shampoo to keep your color vibrant. I absolutely LOVED this stuff! After dyeing my hair purple, I had some spots that were not completely saturated and was lighter in spots as well. So I was hoping that this could even it all out! And boy did it do that! It made my hair even more vibrant than just with the dye alone and turned my hair all one shade of purple. The shampoo is nice and thick, so it doesn’t just slide off of your head. It smells like bubble gum and I love that, had absolutely no chemical smell. I left it on for 10 mins in the shower, rinsed with cold water, then applied Keracolor Clenditioner. (Definitely check out the Keracolor line on Amazon as well!) Buy it and you will not regret it!
