Morphy Richards Slow Cooker Sear and Stew 460013 3.5L Cream Slowcooker

In a cupboard ever filling with small appliances, I decided to add a Slow Cooker into the mix. The Morphy Richards Accents 48701 is very reasonably priced, available next day on Amazon Prime and other reviews seemed positive, so why not?As with most slow cookers operation is strinkingly simple - the settings are Off, High, Medium and Low. The advantage this Morphy Richards model has, is the "sear" ability. Taking the non-stick lining out and searing the meat directly on the hob firstly saves on washing up (a big win) and secondly keeps more of the flavour in the pan.The instuction booklet includes several recipes - none of which I've tried. However having purchased a slow cooker recipe book it's quite surprisingly exactly what you can make with it. So far, we've made two stews, both delicious, plans are afoot for a curry (to my wifes dismay), more stews and looking at some of the desserts that can be made.Having recently had our first child, the main advantage of the slow cooker is the ability to throw everything in, and leave it going with little interference. The odd stir is enough to keep it going and we can prep ingredients when we're both in the house and then throw them in earlier in the day to let it do it's thing.Two small issues I have are with the removable lining. On the whole, it's great, it's about as non-stick as you can imagine. However, it does have the habit of sliding around on the hob, as you stir the searing meat, meaning you have to hold on to it with a tea towel or risk losing it on the floor, possibly causing injury. Which leads on to the second issue - you have to handle the lining with something as it gets hot. It would have been nice to have a simple silicon pads on either side to form a handle for lifting from hob back into the slow cooker. However, if you're aware of these short comings, a tea towel will suffice.Coming up to winter, this slow cooker is going to get a lot of use, it's easy to use and clean (lining is dishwasher safe), cheap and a great way to get tasty vegetables in to you.

I love my new slow cooker! Life legitimate changes after you buy one and it's made a lot easier!Also who knew you could make anything in them from curry, stews, soups through to cakes and desserts and jams! Mind blown.I love cooking and I'm really into healthy living. I don't eat wheat or dairy, gym/run/work out at least 5 days a week, but also live a busy life like many people! Coupled with trying to start my own business, it got to the point where I was skipping meals or binging on stuff because I didn't have time to spend two hours cooking a big meal.I bought this as an attempt to be better prepared and to reduce the amount I need to cook per week. I also recently moved in with my boyfriend and honestly, I didn't have any pots big enough to keep up with his appetite! He is 6ft3 and what I often think will feed 4 people, only feeds him. I was spending ages cooking lovely meals that I thought would last us a few days, and yet having to cook every night! I got bored of it, and also wanted him to be able to cook better meals (and not just eat tuna sarnies) when I was away.This slow cooked has solved so many problems, and for the price I think this is the best thing I've bought in a long time.Some slow cookers only have 2 settings,but this one is great with 3, I use all of them depending on what I'm cooking. What I absolutely love about this is that it can be used on the hob first before being inserted into the slowcooker - this means you can do all the 'quick frying' of meat/onions etc in the same pan and without having to make more dishes, transfer food backwards and forwards, and it just speeds everything up.I would definitely say you need a cookbook to get started, but once you get the hang of using it, know a few meals off by heart, and know what you need ingredient wise, it's pretty quick to prepare the food & then just pop it in and go to work or go about your day without having to do anything else! It;s also nice if you don't know what time you're going to get home. All you need to do is make sure you have enough water in the pot, put it on low and you can leave it for like 12 hours - something unfortunately I end up doing a lot ! By that point I'm starving and SO glad I can just get in and eat, especially after the gym.I honestly could not recommend this enough and can't believe it costs so little. As long as you're prepared with your grocery shopping it's so easy to make delicious food, and the best thing is you don't need to do it all the time! Definitely worth purchasing.

This is the best thing I have had in my kitchen in a long time. It was highly recommended by my sister. I have not stopped using it since I have had it. I have made some amazing different dishes. I was quite surprised as to what you can cook in a slow cooker. I bought three slow cooker receipe books which were great had everything in them from Red Meat, Chicken ,Fish , Vegetarian and Vegan was very impressed but more impressed as you can make desserts, and cakes in them also can you imagine. Our family dinners cooked in the slow cooker taste so much better. Food never dries out and does not stick to the bottom like other slow cookers I have had. This one is far the best i am seriously saying this. It saves on washing up as you really only have to use the one pot. You can put it on the stove to brown and pre cook meat just to give them a little colour then you put all your veg inside and let it cook no standing over the cooker all the time to see how your food is cooking. Any way I will go for now as I am going to prepare a chicken stew tonight. One more thing before I go my only snag is I wish I had bought the Black and Gold one I think that would have gone in my kitchen more nicely. Hey ho we cant have everything 😊😊

Aufgrund der Schmorfunktion habe ich mich für diesen Topf entschieden. Ich habe ihn natürlich direkt ausprobiert und eine perfekte Baconbombe gebaut.Die mittelfunktion ist gut und ansonsten ist er wie alle Slow Cooker mit High und Low ausgestattet.Die Lieferung erfolgte Problemlos aber leider nicht zur Packstation.Obwohl er aus UK kommt, war er schon mit Schuko Stecker. Toll!Alles Bestens!

la comida queda muy sabrosa

Tut was er soll- wunderbar zuverlässig. Ich habe mir eine günstige Zeitschaltuhr dazu gekauft, jetzt kocht er mir über Nacht mein Essen ;-). Die Größe passt für ca. 3 Personen, der Topf ist sehr leicht zu reinigen (die Beschichtung ist super- man sollte aber sehr, sehr vorsichtig mit Metallgegenständen sein!! Ich habe einmal den Pürierstab darin verwendet in der Meinung, ich sei kaum an den Rand gekommen... jetzt sind einige Kratzer drin). Es passt auch ein komplettes Suppenhuhn hinein.

Excelente calidad-precio. Fácil de usar. Practica. Solo le falta tener un temporizador integrado para ser perfecta. Aún así, excelente compra. Muy recomendable.
