Ok, this is definitely the Leatherman Surge, I know I just bought it. It’s not the old model, but the ‘new’ 2015 one. I don’t know why, it’s so much cheaper than other Leatherman Surge’s (even the one sold by Amazon), but hey, it is. Bargain at less than £90. These are on the official Leatherman website for £150!

Does this come with a leather or nylon case?

Comes with nylon case as of April 2020...with back pocket and 2 side elasticated sleeves.

Does this come with a pouch?

Hi, it was a couple of years ago I purchased, but pretty sure it did. Mine is certain in one now and I also bought a few other ‘optional’ parts the thin ‘screwdriver bits’ that also slide into the same pouch.

This surge comes with a leather case but is this big enough to store the bit set and extender??

Carrying the extender in one of the elasticated side pockets should be no problem (I carry a short pen in one, and a penlight torch in the other). The genuine Leatherman leather case I got with my Surge has a small elasticated partition at the belt side, but I would say that cramming both cards of the bit set into the case is too tight a squeeze! I tried it when I got the case, but decided to get a Leatherman nylon case for my bit set, plastic blade/file holder, and other bits and bobs. It meants wearing two pouches, but getting the Surge in and out of the leather case easily with two cards proved too difficult. Maybe you could transfer the most useful bits to just one card, and store that in the leather case?
