How hard is it to remove and replace adapters? These things are smaller than I imagined, and I don't imagine the ends sliding through a 1/8 sleeve.

I bought this to keep my cat from chewing thru my phone charger cord, landline phone cord...any cord with a rubbery texture. This is actually bigger than it looks and spreads a good width. I ended up cutting a small slice on one end to slide over the plug/adapter then pushed this cord protector all the way to the other end. When the cord was fully covered, I snipped the other end of this protector and used black electrical tape to secure the end I cut. It works great...well, at least the cat quit destroying these cords. Good luck.

Can I use the 1/4" cable sleeve to run 3x 18ga wires on my motorcycle?

1/4 is very small. Get. A bigger size. Cot a sample piece an go to home depot. They have lots of products including this one that you can test sizes on.
