GFW Ashbourne 90cm / 3' Single Bed Frame Dark Grey

This bed looks rather nice and is useful in that it has storage under the mattress and even storage again if you place items on the floor. You can install the opening part so it opens either left or right.Although clearly stated in the description the dimensions of the mattress it suits, it is not a standard UK bed size (easy to overlook when you choose the "king" option and expect it to fit a king-size bed). This leads to some very ugly gaps all around the mattress, exposing the metal frame and wooden/plastic slats, which also means your items in storage are exposed somewhat and dust and other items can fall in. Although you can centre the mattress and 'half' the gap (which is still too large), as soon as you lift the mattress to access the storage the mattress falls to one extreme side again. I deducted a star from the review for this shortcoming. See the photo for more information.When I discovered I was missing some hardware to finish the installation, the after-sales support were kind enough to send me replacement hardware to finish the installation.A tip when assembling this bed is to assemble the mattress frame first and then put it out of the way, as once you construct the bed frame you may not have enough room to build it (e.g. studio apartment).

Lovely bed nice fabric nice hight loads of storage nice and comfortable very sturdy I got 1 for myself 4ft6 and a 5ft for my daughter. The bed looks lovely and the storage space underneath is perfect for us. It did take a long time to assemble and I wouldn't put heavy items inside the storage as not sure the base would cope but all in all very pleased with this bed.

Some bolts were a bit rough to find the threads on nuts or vice versa. No Biggie but in tight spots made for sweat and swearing.The bed (single) is great. Nice fabric. Room underneath the mattress is Less than others but you also get a better look because you can see under the bed too.Advice... If the gas lifts on the single appear hard to lift or compress, then just use one, maybe fit the other once the gas ram settles down.

Well designed and simple construction to assemble, although it is definitely a two person job.Looks nice with the grey fabric that is well stitched and of good quality, and having legs means even more much needed storage under the bed, which a lot of these lift type beds do not have.The legs themselves however are a bit of a let down as most of them were a off perpendicular, but they are strong and do their job and you can't see the that they are a little wonky when the bed is up.You can have the bed set to lift left or right during assembly, but a tip if you are tight on space is to make the mattress frame first as you need to lay it out.

Really pleased with this, great customer service too before I purchased. I put it together on my own in 3 hours and it says 2 people 1.5 hours, so it’s spot on. Really sturdy and the gas lift holds my heavy mattress no problem. Highly recommended!!
