New Version! Ignore old ratings. Old problems resolved + new features!
First off: If you are considering this, buy it! It's a beautiful thing. One question: Why on earth did Bosch not use a new model number for their 'advanced' Power Box? All the negative reviews are about the old version and keep people from realizing how great this product is. This 'running change' is definitely worthy of a new model number, and deserves many more stars.I looked at the Power Box a hundred times- on Amazon, and at my local HD store... and almost bought one a dozen times, but the reviews on Amazon made it clear that this was a near miss with some glaring problems. Well, I've had the new 'Advanced Model'that came out around Christmas for about a month now, and LOVE IT!Reception is crystal clear, which is what everyone complained about before. Also, Sound quality is great, and the remote is very cool. My only complaint: the Remote is IR, so you have to point it directly at the front of the box. If you are too far off-angle, the IR-remote is fairly useless. WHY WHY WHY didn't they use an RF remote on this rather than IR. Line of site remotes don't make much sense on a job site!!It would also be nice if there was a way to actually control IPOD playback via the iPOD dock & remote. Alas, the dock is simply power, and audio connection- no control. That said, it is a slick 'add-on' designed specifically for the powerbox. So, two items for the wishlist, but overall, a great, great design, with super sound, and none of the gotchas of the previous versions.

Bosch Garage Boom Box
Checked around and compared like items . Needed a radio/CD player for garage that got better reception than the little alram clock I'd been using for years. I trusted the quality of Bosch and took a chance thru Amazon because of the low price. Box arrived in good shape and upon opening found all to be in good condition. Took it to garage and cranked her up thru various AM & FM stations. I was amazed at the strength of signal and crisp sound I evoked from the built in "equalizer" which is really a series of slight changes in sound... Rock, Stadium, Concert Hall, etc. Over all I'm pleased with my choice. Would buy it again.

not that good
The item was bought used and that alread makes it doubtful as for its reliability.I bought it for my husband so he could use it at his place of work. It proved not to be loud enough for the work place, which desapointed me because I assumed it is supposed to be heavy duty and made for construction or facture type of places. Well, we've kept it at home but, once in a while, for no apparent reason, it stops working. Nothing works on it, as if the power is completely out. Then, a couple of hours later, you try it again and it works. It would cost us more to send it back and ask for our money back than to just keep it so, we have it at home but, it is worthless for us. It's something we can not rely on.We will never order anything else from this seller again.

Very dissapointing quality
Bosch PB10-CD Advanced Power Job Site Radio with CD Player and Remote Control I received my package yesterday, took it to my shop and hooked it up. I have never been so disappointed. The sound quality was very poor, the speakers buzzed at low volume when the radio was tuned to a music station. Speaker buzz diminished somewhat when a CD was playing which suggests to me the buzzing was in the receivers circuitry. I have purchased many Bosh tools but their radio is at the other end of the quality spectrum. I give it two thumbs down. I just wasted over $200.00 If you are thinking of buying a job site or shop radio, buyer be ware......

Serves Purpose - Useless Remote
We wanted a stereo out by the pool that we could plug things into - so we are NOT using it as a "work site" item - however - it does do the job, and the extra plugs work great. The remote (as mentioned in several other reviews) is useless. We cannot get more than 5 feet away and have it work - and I have changed the batteries. Also - the cigarette lighter plug that is on it - I am not sure what that is for, but it came with the fuse blown. We found the right fuse, replaced it - and tried to plug in a car-refrigerator. That blew the fuse as well. So - I guess it would be like for a cell phone charger or something - not enough juice going to it for much else.Overall - I would probably go with something cheaper and not necessarily water resistant next time - if it had a workable remote. The whole point was to leave the remote by the pool and have the extra plugs. If it goes out or quits working... I will probably get a power strip and a real remote-controlled radio.

great radio
The more I use it the more I like it. Setting all the controls up takes some getting used to, once you know all the buttons and adjustments it's great. The reception is very good in all bands. The CD plays great and doesn't skip. The remote is nice. I had the Dewalt and there is no comparison. The guys on the job all said what about the battery, now you don't have a spare. I said I have a radio with a 18Volt battery which does not get removed. I have chargers that I plug in the GFI outlet and charge battery's with. I said this is a radio that happens to have a charger. The Dewalt is a charger that has a radio attached. What I'm saying is they designed a radio around there charger rather than the other way. If you want a job site radio get this one!
