I myself am not a first timer when it comes to reptiles of any kind, including redfoot tortoises. We bought our oldest son a baby redfoot for Christmas since he recently lost his shortly moving into our new home. He normally just wants to play video games or walk around outside (fun to him, i guess :) ) so I figured if we were to get him a book to go along with his new baby tortoise, he would be encouraged to read, which he does not do often due to struggling...Not only will he be happy to receive a new baby, but he will also be encouraged to practice reading when it comes to the care of his tortoise. he is 14 years old and I think we are going to have one happy child this Christmas! The only downfall, there are no photos really in this book...but in a sense, that is a good thing because it will deter him from just looking at the pictures and instead he will have to READ and get a mental visual of what they are referencing. So excited to give all this to him!

Great book with all information of the Tortoise large print

Super helpful. We just got a small Red-Foot and had no idea what we were doing. The internet had some information but this book breaks everything down piece by piece. Things I didn't even think we needed to know about owning and taking care of them. Great buy

Bought the book for my grandpa and it was really helpful for himself, it was just a bummer there weren’t any pictures.

My daughter loved the book, it was very informative and it gave us great insight on tortoises!

It was funny to read but not very informative. You had to decifer what was being said and it was verybasic.
