This is another case where you get what you pay for, and this is a very modestly priced umbrella. While not the most sturdy beach or lake umbrella, it's perfect to provide afternoon shade for the young plants in my veggie garden. Height is adjustable and the umbrella itself has held up in some pretty strong breezes. I'll gladly buy another one or two for next year.

The item arrived with a shipping loss to the bottom part of the umbrella which amazon credited me for l. Amazon did not require areturn but I still had the very short umbrella. We had an old umbrella we had purchased previously and the pole fit. The graphics and function are great but not very strong for stiff ocean breezes.

Please read the other reviews as they are pretty spot on. The bottom of the pole is NOT threaded so it doesn't screw into the ground. The top of the umbrella is NOT vented. The height of this is shorter than normal as well.But, if you just need small shaded area and already have a means of mounting the pole to stand it up, it's fine. It provides shade. It wasn't built to withstand gusts of wind. But you also aren't spending bundles of money.

The metal pole where the tilt function is very weak metal and every time I touch it feels like it might snap. Otherwise for the price, it’s a good deal. Fits my kiddos picnic table.

Technically this worked to keep the sun out of my eyes and from burning my face. But the little tilt mechanism has a slide up cover, and opening or closing this umbrella risks a pinch from that cover every time. It's extra danger because the cover doesnt fit closed securely, and can punch you at any time you touch it at all. I will not purchase this again, even as a last resort, because it's made cheaply and wants to bite my fingers. I WOULD purchase this as a gift for my enemy, if I wished them to have cut or bruised fingers. I would not allow a child to use it, because it really does hurt. If I was lost in the desert and had nothing for shelter except this umbrella, I would definitely risk finger abuse and feel terribly guilty for this sad review when it saved me from sun death. However, I just needed some inexpensive shade to use around my yard occasionally. I didn't expect MUCH for $15 bucks, but I definitely expected shade and finger safety. I only got the shade.

It worked nicely to protect my pool pump from the summer heat in the afternoon. The plastic handle is very flimsy though but the it's hollow so I took the base off (it pops off too easily honestly) and took a metal rod, buried it in the ground about a foot in and just slid the pipe over it so it stays up well.

Perfect for the Arizona Sun. It’s light weight so it’s easy to move.
