Q: Is it normal that the liquid has separated and needs to be shaken to combine the dark colored oils and the clear liquid?

Yes. I don't use the Sea Salt mist as often, so I just checked it & found the liquids separated. I shake the bottles before misting so hadn't really noticed the separation. The other Frankincense & Myrrh I use more often so it doesn't have time to settle/separate. This doesn't impact the smell, so I would say it's normal.
