Will these shoes do well for water sports specifically for kayaking and tubing? Looking for a versatile shoe on and off land.

Yes. Only thing to keep in mind is that water will drain well, but pebbles will have a hard time working their way out without taking the shoe off. But I use these in and out of the water and love them.

Is thw 9.5 D (M) the standard width or wide or what?

I bought these for my husband in an 8.5, which he says is a good fit, though a tad roomy. He usually wears a 9.5 in a tennis shoe. He did not notice any difference in the width.

Using bathroom scale the weight for two shoes is 1 pound exactly. Scale dloesnt weigh finer than 1 pound. I suspect the two would be a little higher
