Great product, would recommend.
Fantastic product. I have researched a lot to find a good mesh network wifi and finally decided on this one. Turned out that I made a good choice. Very easy to set up and worked a treat. Now I get fast internet across our house which is a 3 bed semi. Wish I got it a year back. Now no more compliant about bad wifi from the husband :)

Doesn't do POWERLINE + ETHERNET backhaul
Thoroughly, THOROUGHLY, unimpressed with tp-link on this purchase!I wanted to augment my existing M5 network with a link over POWER LINES.The product literature suggests that the EXTENSION concept is supported, discussion BEFORE & AFTER [twice!] purchase with tp-link support conformed that it should be possible! But, it turns out that BACKHAUL is EITHER :- POWERLINE + WIFIExclusively OR- ETHERNET + WIFIBUT *NOT*- POWERLINE + ETHERNETi.e. *exactly* NOT what I wanted AND discussed with tp-link BEFORE purchasing!!!Very, VERY irritated!!

Flaky WiFi, needs account and internet to setup
WiFi connection drops out, worst half way between units (the 'mesh' feature seems flaky). Needs an internet connection, an account with TP Link, terms and conditions agreeing to, and an app just to setup. The app won't work if the internet connection goes down, so no good for a private LAN or with unreliable internet. No way to turn off external access so not secure. Sent back and replaced with AmpliFi boxes.

Pretty amazing (2 x Deco P7)
I spent a bit of time talking to people and comparing the different options. My Virgin Media Hub3 wifi was really poor, even right next to the hub. I've tried all sorts of extenders (wifi and Powerline) and not been too impressed, but this system is quite stunning. As you can see from my recent wifi speedtests, going from 13-25Mbps to more than 350 is far beyond what I expected. There was a bit of pain initially since it's been a long time since I used a modem and router combo and didn't realise I couldn't have my PC connected to the Virgin Hub via ethernet while I set up the Deco. It would fail to connect every time. Once this was resolved, it was a matter of using the app to set it all up and it just worked! Same with the second one. Now I have amazing internet everywhere in my Victorian terraced house with only one network and password! So cool.TP-link support got one less star as it required calling a toll 0845 number which disconnected me after a few minutes. I was able to get support via webchat, but this was a little painful (just because typing with a support team on a phone just is). And yes, you do need a TP-Link account. Nevermind. Totally worth it in the end though.

Greatly improved my home WiFi
After suffering from the unreliable performance from the standard VirginMedia Super Hub 3, I bought a twin-pack of the Deco P7 and switched the Super Hub to modem mode. Installation with the Deco 7 app was very straightforward and my network performance has been much more reliable in the few weeks since initial installation.
