Top Notch Hard Adjustable Skate Guards - Black

Let me put it this way: the owner/designer of Guardog once did a good turn for me, so I have recently ordered another pair of his guards, even though I don't need them yet. I live in the USA, which I suppose is the biggest market for these guards. They are made in Windsor, Ontario, just across the river from Detroit. If you want to support Canada in its time of need, consider buying a pair of these, even if you don't need them yet. Guardogs protect our skates, and we in turn can support their maker. BTW I use mine on figure skates, size 8, and they work just fine, unlike another, similar-looking brand I had mistakenly got in a shop. These are the originals, made by their inventor.

Fits my size 7 adult CCM Jetspeed skates.Assembly is simple. Works as intented. I've worn them once so far for an ice maintenance crew shift at a local major junior team's game. I was able to get around the innards of the arena without issue.Thank you.

The description says if your blades are above a certain size, you'll need to buy an extra set or the gap will be too big. On my skates (men's size 9), the gap is larger than the specs on the instructions. I would say if you have adult skates, buy from a manufacturer that sells larger guards. The product itself is well made and a good design. They would be perfect for kids skates.

I've bought both types of skate guards recently (some that are adjustable and some that aren't), and these are definitely my preference. I thought it'd be annoyingly difficult to cut them, but it's not that bad as long as you use a good knife (I used a heavy box cutter). The instructions are clear and will help you get a near-perfect fit, but the springs and design of these means it's fine if it isn't! They're sturdy and durable and do the job well.

Easy to assemble, work extremely well, and at a fair price. Even if you like using soakers after a skate, it's a good idea to have these (for your protection, and your blades).

Way to small and fall right off my hockey skate. got them so I could walk all over before going on ice but do not fit. threw them out waste of money.

What can I say, they're your typical skate guards, nothing too fancy, but nothing too cheap. They seem to be decently thick and fit my skates well. I didn't need to cut them at all for my Jackson Elle skates. Occasionally the springs will slip off in my bag which is a pain but they're easy to put back on.

Love these guards. Once you've cut them to size, removing and installing them is so easy. Durable enough that they can be walked on in the rink before hitting the ice. Great product.
