Great as long as you know what you're doing.
Bought this on because the laser was adjustable so you can find that true bore axis. Didn't need to do any adjusting because it came pretty zero out to 50yards! Don't listen to people who say they shot 5feet of at 20 foot range or that it was so off at 100yards because they ate too many crayons. Also the reason it isn't tigh in the berral is because you need to insert and twist clockwise in order to tighten the screw and expand the rubber insert to fill the berral. Most of this stuff is on the instructions and is common sense.A good way to make sure you have the correct bore axis zero is to turn the device snugly in the barrel and look for it to circle around. It is nice and zero when you turn it and the laser doesn't move.As far as ballistics goes I have pages long of fun formulas but here's a good trick. Find the ballistics for your bullet and say your going to sight in at 100yrds. Find the bullet position at 25 yards mine with a 2.825" scope height(bullet starts at -2.825") is -1.9". I then pluged this in to est angle (tan^-1(1/[25*3*12])) and got 0.06366°. Then I plugged in tan(0.06366)*50*3*12=~2" so I know at 50yards I want my optic to be 0.825" above the boresight and I want my shot group to be 1" below my optic according to ballistics data. This makes it so I use as little ammo getting that zero at 100yards. (5.56 55g bc0.267 MV 3270fps SH2.825")If you use Balistics data and keep your bore sight on bore axis zero you can use short distances to get you more than on target at longer ranges. My sight in of 5.56 at 50yards gets me within 4" at 100yards and 6" at 150yards mostly tighter. The rest is knowing 1/4moa click is 1/4" at 100yards and multiplying instead of aimlessly turning the dials at random intervals. With practice you can get sub moa sights ready in less than 5-7 shotsOnly thing I don't like is the battery you gotta take it out for storage and I feel like I should be gentle with the screws but I have brute hands.

Great product, easy to use. Saves ammo when sighting in new sights, or lasers.
Great product. I bought it to help align all my pistol lasers and iron sights as well. Was spot on right out of the box. For those who cant figure out how to turn it off and on, simply use your fingernail to push down on the spring loaded battery holder, THEN twist it left or right. I myself thought it was just a twist and lock but you have to make sure the spring is pushed down enough to allow the little tab sticking up to clear the cut out. Its basically like a cam lock. For those who cant figure out how to get the inserts to work, find the one that will slide into your barrel, thread it onto the end with the supplied screws, and tighten it until it starts to grab the inside of your barrel. Insert it, then you can twist it by hand to snug it up for a proper fit. It very easy to use and a great tool if you use it properly. All my lasers are now zeroed in, and the aftermarket sights I added to my pistols are all perfectly centered now. No more shooting slightly left or right. I tried measuring and "eyeballing" them when I installed and thought they were centered and maybe it was my poor aiming or trigger pull that was causing my slight left or right off target issues. It works great with red dot sights as well. Within 10 minutes I had all my pistols and rifles shooting groups better than I have ever been able to shoot in my life. Even my factory Glock sights were slightly off and I was blaming a stiff trigger pull. Now it puts them exactly where I'm aiming.

Great, cheap option. Buy the contrasting colo to your reticle.. makes it easy.
I received a quality product. If youve got a red dot sight, buy the green laser. Having two different colors makes this so easy. No fussing with figuring out which dot is coming from where.I used this to zero my vortex venom and vortex strike fire ii on a 9mm handgun and 223/556 AR. It was very easy to set up, and I found the laser to be very accurate. To test the 'straightness' of the laser, when installed into the barrel, I made sure to push it all the way into the barrel until the widening bevel on the laser body is flush to the barrel. This ensures an even and accurate placement. The adapters make sure both the beveled end and the tip of the laser are centered on the barrel. Even when i rotate the laser, at 20 yards there was no discernible rotation of the laser ( it would make a circle if it wasn't near centered and rotated along an axis). At 40ish yards I could determine a SMALL circle, less than an inch diameter that would rotate around my red dot. I imagine this may give issues at 100 yards, but this tool is really to get your scope/red dot within working distance, not perfect it.I highly recommend this laser over the 50$ options.

Battery and on/off not great
This is OK for someone that will just sight a few guns here and there. My reason for 4 stars is that the battery sits in a little tube that is inserted into the side of the laser but it is very loose. The tube had a little protrusion that just pushes the batter and tube back far enough to break contact and that is how you turn it off. I found myself constantly tapping the battery or adjusting it because the laser would cut off and on, again because it is loose. It is almost like the spring is too short. I was able to get a rifle and a pistol sighted for the most part but this battery tube this is less than ideal. I'm not going to return it but I don't think I would buy another one of any brand that uses this setup.
