Clean sound with no added coloration
Fantastic piece of equipment - I use it for acoustic guitar for my percussive strumming - I blend the mic output with the undersaddle piezo output of the guitar to get a rich wholesome sound. I have used a lot of external microphones, but you cannot beat this one at this price - Very very happy. Thank you Sonotone for fulfilling the order promptly. I have always had good experiences with this seller!

Entry level mic for harmonica players
Item arrived in time. Its got clean and clear sound and lacks the distinctive Chicago Blues "Honk" that other harmonica mics have. Not so heavy as the other although the wire is not adequately reinforced at the base of the mic. A cause for concern should the rubber wears out.All in all good deal in that price bracket.

Sounds awesome.
Best for Saxophone and other wind instruments. Made a set up with Ahuja Trolly speaker and powered through USB socket using power supply. Working great. Awesome sound quality

Wrong item supplied, and higher price taken
Instead of CX 500, the supply is CX-500 F...CX 500 costs more than CX-500 F.The features of CX 500 which can be used for violin are different from CX-500 F, which is basically used for flutes...I'm very disappointed

BEWARE of Key noise/Pad slaps picking up
Being bell mounted on the saxophone picks up huge key noise/pad slaps.Unless you have a DAW with good NR plugin you are in trouble. But I liked the output after mixing in DAW, key noise gone even for recording without a drum loop, just sax by itself. Will keep it thanks to the DAW.

Superb buy
Best thing I've ever bought. Needs a mixer or some device with 48V but sounds superb. Very clean.

Worst service
Guys please don’t buy from JST mic’s, very worst and poor service, I have purchased JTS 500 mic is good, now I am getting some disturbance sound, some loose connection, but it’s not visible anywhere, and it’s in warranty, now they are charging for that.

JTS chord noise
Love the feel of the mic +/ Mic needs phantom power source (not incl.)/ When plugged into amp w phantom power box(Apex), crackling in wire is louder than mic vol./chord is way too short and chord is part of mic, so if you move, either the chord unplugs or the mic gets yanked out of your hands. Great sounds out of my Bugera amp except for the crackling

Looks cool
This mic was purchased because it looked like the start of a nice mic. Volume in the back, cord near the back and round with out anything to interfere with good mic technic. And it is all of the above. Plus it was cheap unlike the cool ones from the 40s and '50s. The mic itself is or seems week. For example all my other mics will be too loud at 3 on my harp amp. But this thing needs to be turned up at least 3/4 of the way on the amp just to get some sound out of it. I thought that was strange so I took it to a jam and plugged into a Peavy 30 112 guitar amp which is what it says it is designed to do. Well I still had to turn it up but there was no feed back and I could be heard. My other mics (standard harp stuff CM, CR, Crystals) make the same amp a gigantic FEEDback machine not allowing me to turn up so my volume is to low to be heard in a jam situation. It sounds good and for now I will use it on those kind of jams where the back line is all set up. In the future I will customize it with all the cool standard harp stuff. probably when the cable connection goes. Oh, let's see... the vents on the sides appear to be functional be they are not functional except maybe visually for some style.
