SanDisk Digital Photo Viewer and Card Reader for TV w/Remote

Recently bought the SanDisk SDV-1A Digital Photo Viewer because it seemed like a logical way to screen digital pictures without using the computer. Also could provide a nice slide show on the television for a group. Unfortunately I had also bought two SanDisk 256Meg Memory Stick Pro storage devices which I use with my Sony digital camera. The Memory Sticks (Pro) work well with the camera, but they do NOT work with the SanDisk SDV-1A Digital Photo Viewer. Wish I had known that before I purchased the viewer. product seems ok but clear plastic container was dirty. make me think it was used and it's a gift. I wiped the plastic container off with a cloth and some spray and it looks great now but still have that feeling it may have been repackaged. hate to say it but it's in my mind with first viewing. sure it's fine but wish seller had taken the final step and wiped it off. first item i've received from amazon that was like this. will give it as a christmas gift without saying anything and i will certainly continue to shop at amazon.

Could never get it to work properly. It has some bugs, sometimes its viewable sometimes not. Good luck if you purchase it.

I purchased and mailed this viewer to my dad so he could view pictures on his Sanyo TV, but after several attempts he couldn't get it to work. My dad called SanDisk and they said that the viewer would not work with his TV. What a neat little gizmo; it's smaller than I had anticipated. It's very easy to hook up. From getting it out of the package to viewing your pictures on TV takes all of 10 minutes, and that's mainly because getting the viewer out is not an easy task. We transferred images from the 128MB CompactFlash from our Canon G3 to the TV screen, and it looked great. Having the remote to zoom, rotate, and delete was pretty handy too. A simple, easy to use product that delivers as promised.

This model was produced in 2003 if I read correctly. It works, fine, but very slowly and today's modern files consider another product.

Using this product and a GRANDTEC GVC-1000 Grand Video Console Video To VGA Converter you can output a flashcard to a LCD Monitor and have a digital picture frame. Note that this unit can't read from a camera, only from the top level, not from a folder. Create the images and edit them then number them, place them on the card, and display them!

This item was totaly unacceptable for me. After several attempts to get it to work, I called customer support. They informed me that the SD card I was using was too large, limited to 2 gig. I loaded pictures on a compatable card and tried again, when that didn't work I was told that the picture resolution was to large. To use the unit I would have to lower the resolution of my camera. Amazon return policy states that I could only get 60% of the purchase price returned. It cost me almost half that to ship it back.

Maybe a little old school, rather than connecting your camera through wifi, but this unit allowed meto view photos captured on sd card onto tv, so perfect solution.
