My minivan has an air bag marking at the top of that column. Will the clip effect that?

The clips part that fits into the sides of the car are only about 1/2 an inch. I’m not a specialist, but I don’t think that would interfere with the airbag.

Will this work in a 2012 Equinox?

I'm quite sure they will work. These sets are pretty much made for SUV type vehicles.
