I work from home mostly in my hardwood floor home office. The cheap plastic casters that come with most office chairs are comical compared to these. These wheels glide over the floors on my office with ease leaving no streaks and no chance of internal wheel components breaking like those cheap plastic casters. I have had these for quite some time and I have virtually no wear on the wheels. I have a sit to stand desk and I use it a lot, so I am constantly moving my chair closer to my desk, and further away when the ADHD kicks in and I need to stand, or pace around the office while on conference calls.I love these so much I got a second set for my in the work office chair that I only go to once a week! They use the peel and stick carpet squares there and these wheels glide over that like butter! I was able to throw away those cheap plastic under desk matts you can buy so your chair wheels can actually move.I cannot recommend these wheels for an office style chair more! Anyone using those flimsy plastic casters that come with an office chair I would replace them with these right away.

I bought these casters to replace the ones on a chair I purchased from Staples about 10 years ago. The original casters were smaller and plastic, and were pretty pathetic after years of daily use on a concrete floor.These new ones are awesome! They install pretty easily (although I did have to coax a couple of them with a rubber mallet), with no special tools. They roll very smoothly, so smoothly that I find my chair running away from me sometimes if I'm not paying attention when I stand up. :-)

I put these wheels on my new desk chair. It's original wheels were terrible, they didn't even roll. After installing these I feel like I need a seat belt, lol. They ride so smoothly and turn so easily. I will only use these wheels from now on!

buy these, they're very nice! I have a laminated wood floor in my office and I'm so tired of using floor protectors. I bought these to put on a new laura davidson soho chair (also from amazon) so that I could install them as I assembled the new chair, and they're just so soft and smooth I'm in love. no more floor protectors! although I do like the bamboo slat floor protectors I just don't need them anymore. I am a little on the heavy side (I'm not saying my weight) and these function just beautifully. I even have a thin rug on the other side of the room and the chair wheels work fine there, not quite as zippy but still completely fine.

These caster wheels are a major improvement over the cheap plastic ones that came with my office chair. Took all of two minutes.The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is because they do tend to collect long hair around the axles. If you’ve got pets or people with longer hair in the house, you’ll probably need to clean them out once in a while to keep things rolling smoothly.That said, they’re still one of the best upgrades I’ve made to my home office. Totally worth it—just keep a pair of scissors handy.

I love these wheels on my small office chair at home. I got these thinking I will use it outside or in my shed sometimes. It has no trouble rolling over concrete. They look great, and the quality is top notch. I was worried they might not fit, but they were perfect on a chair that I found abandoned on the side of the road. It was easy to put these in.
