Fails every few months
I bought this for ~$1000 at HomeDepot mid 2018. Fortunately, I bought a service plan for 3 years. The dishwasher hits errors every weeks and fails every few months. Most of the issues are resolved by turning off the power source on and off. LG had to send a tech to replace its computer when it was 7 months old. Now, I am working with Home Depot on another claim (as LG covers repairs for the first year and then it spills over to the Home Depot plan). This is the most expensive and the most problematic dishwasher we have ever owned (across a sample of ~10 over the last 20 years). None of our prior ones broke -- we had to move apartments / homes. It looks expensive and is still shiny (inside and out) after 1.5 years of use (1-2 times a day) but I think LG screwed up on some core capabilities with this appliance.

Lousy Instructions
I was not impressed with this beast when I first got it. It says not to pre-wash your dishes but after running for three hours, some of the dishes were still dirty. If I need to pre-wash my dishes to get them clean, the machine had better run them in half an hour. I cussed this machine when I first got it running but after my wife discovered the TURBO Manly setting, it started washing dishes like I expected it to, and in one hour instead of three. The instruction manual needs more tips on how to run this thing and fix alarms when they pop up. I'm not fully sold on it yet but I'm a lot happier with it.

Smart Features are not decent, Electronics damage easily just passed warranty and expensive to fix.
LDT7797ST - Bought this as at a discount. We frequently have problems with the buttons not responding, to the point where I have to pull power from the device, sometimes for several hours. Our buttons on the top right stop responding as well. LG's support is to contact regional licensed repair shops. The recommended shops had very negative reviews. They do not provide any support to troubleshoot problems yourself they only direct you to a repair shop.PROS:The washer has 3 adjustable racks that I found sturdier than other brands. I found it very modeler and easy to accommodate different size dishes.Quiet - It is not silent, but it is definitely way quieter than other models we had. The really time that you hear it is when it is pumping out the water through the disposal, and that isn't going to get much quieter.CONS: System has only a 1 year warranty. I would not recommend without a 3 year warranty. The button on the door easily break. The whole right side of my washer stopped responding and support is useless. The next available tech is several weeks out. Most parts are at least 2 weeks+..- The primary control that runs the system has been replaced with a different model. They have a feature called Smart Thinq. This gives a push notification when the Dishwasher is complete, not that you could start as the dishes would be too hot at this point to put away. You can download from choice of 4 download cycles. This gives you options for "Pots & Pans, Casseroles, Glassware and Night Care" You cannot schedule the dishwasher or remote start it from the app. You cannot make any mode selection changes with the app.You can also check the estimate cycle time with your phone. The smart diagnosis is a joke is not very helpful and displays the same information you would get if you looked up any light / or Error codes displayed on the 3 character LCD.---If you are looking at this because you like the drawers and sound, it is a very good. Do not buy because of the Smart Thinq. Buy with at least a 3 year warranty as I expect further problems.

Best dishwasher I’ve ever used
This is a top notch piece of equipment. The design is awesome, the machine is very quiet and the dishes come out sparkling clean.Others have given bad reviews based on customer service, unsatisfactory manual, etc. I purchased my unit at the local Home Depot store and have had no problems at all with it, but based on past experience, have confidence that HD would stand behind their sale even if LG customer service presented problems.

Fragile Control Panel
The dishwasher worked great for six months and then died. The top control panel is a thin piece of plastic, apparently with circuitry glued to it's back side. This plastic has cracked and shorted out the electronics. This is an amazingly poor design. Even worse, LG can't seem to show up to make a warranty repair. After two months and three no-shows, I'm at my wits end. I have had to buy a second dishwasher. Unless you can afford two dishwashers and a lot of hair pulling, I would avoid this brand at all cost.

control panel
I have the same issues of the control panel going dead after a year and 4 months from purchasing the unit.off course now that it is out of warranty I am stuck with the repair cost which is over 250 dollars.I paid over a thousand dollars for this dishwasher to break down in 16 months

Consumer Beware: LG does not have LG or authorized LG repair service in Seattle area
As the earlier reviewer wrote. Expect to buy 2 dishwashers if you choose LG.
