I received this product from a wound care nurse. It helped a lot, but when I found and started using the thicker version that is Carrasyn V it was so much better. The wounds I am treating require dressings that cover the wound and then top dressings to protect the wounds from outside biological waste that can infiltrate the wound sites. The original version is too thin and just drips away during application. The V version stays put and you can retain more of the actual product in the wound site. This means more product efficacy and less product loss and thus cost reduction overall.As to wound care itself, I cannot be without this product. Within a day you can see improvements in the wounds that I treat for my elderly parent. She has long-time care for her pressure sores due to being bed-ridden and not too great hospital care. But this product has helped me get her wounds reduced in certain areas to resolved in other areas. It's a long process but someday I hope to get all of her wounds resolved completely. I believe this product, in the V version, will help me get there.

I bought this Hydrogel Wound Dressing for an open wound on the Ankle. I have had this Venous Stasis Ulcer for over a year and 3 months and compression stockings do help ,in order to get dead skin removed is called "Slough" and being this hydrogel has natural Aloe Barbadensis leaf juice, Cabomer,Citric acid, Disodium EDTA,potassium sorbate, and more ingredients . It turns a light amber color but it doesn't take away the effectiveness. I have tried just about everything to this wound,and with this new product no side effects, it does have some stinging when the Hydrogel is working and doing its job to remove the slough. (Just a Tip) When using gauze apply sterile water and drench it, squeeze out the water apply to wound bed after applying the Hydrogel Wound Dressing and add 4 more layers of gauze to wound and use paper tape for sensitive skin and rest for bedtime or anytime you do your dressing changes, Now when removing use sterile water and squirt on gauze to easily remove and repeat steps. I have use this hydrogel for 3 times a day with this process and changes are amazing, yes its going to be painful,but if saves us money going to the wound clinics 3 times a week, like me and now I see the healing in progress in the first time in a year.

All I can say is UH-MAY-ZING!!!My 14 yo son gashed his leg 6 months ago and should have had stitches as the wound was not healing well though it was smaller. And it didn't help that it was itchy so he picked at it also. Long story short, Neosporin wasn't helping so I read the reviews on hydrogel and we tried it. I could see after just a couple of days that it was looking much better. Almost completely healed after a few days. Worth every penny!!!

This is effective and I wouldn't be without it. I use it for a wheel-chair & bed-bound person who is prone to skin wounds and blistering. A thin film on small abrasions aids more rapid healing by drying as a synthetic skin that acts as a barrier to pathogens and reduces the itch of a healing wound. Used more liberally as a dressing covered by a sterile bandage it aids drawing out of exudate from wounds and skin healing. These are not medically vetted statements-they are only my personal observations of dealing with wounds of varying types for a long time for this person.

I get ankle ulcers and this product seems to help close them up. They can be very painful and this product seems to be what the doctor ordered. I tried using this product along with cortisone crème and the pain is a bad distant memory. I would suggest, not being in the medical field, that you also change your diet because I think it has something to do with sugars ( carbs) and being a borderline diabetic. I cut way back on my poor eating habits and it really helped. It is easy to let food control you ( self gradification and all ) Food is needed to live, certainly, don't use it as entertainment. This gel works fine on my venous ulcers and surrounding skin. The only drawback is the nature of this kind of hydrogel. Even when one moistens the bandage according to instructions, the gel dries hard and the bandage sticks, which makes peeling it off a bit irritating to the skin.However, the benefits outweigh the minor inconvenience.

Exactly what we needed. Product is Awesome to use. Purchased it the first time through a doctors office at almost 3 times the price as what I bought if for on Amazon. Thank you for making it available to purchase. So incredibly happy with the results we've achieved from using it.

In my household Carrasyn is referred to as the Super Healer. No matter how bad the wound, improvement will be seen within 24 hours. We have used it on cuts abrasions, and burns. I recommend using Vaseline or another protective product if applying gauze as it tends to stick on a wound with Carrasyn.
