U.S. Art Supply Acrylic Modeling Paste - 16.9oz (500ml) Lightweight, Flexible, Mixable, Sandable, and Archival-Safe

I have used this to create texture in my art and to thicken paint that is too thin for my use. I enjoy using this paste, I'm so glad I found it! A little goes a long way, it dries quickly, it's super thick and so easy to use!

Good quality, good color, good quantity

Real easy to work with for stenciling, mixes easily with acrylic paint, gouache, or dry pigment powder with a marginal bit more effort for impasto, bonds with gesso with no bubbling or problems.This will probably be my daily driver modeling paste from now on. Very versatile medium.

Great product at a terrific price so as to share with my painting students.

Easy to apply and very consistent. I used it to fill contours In levels of card stock I layered it on pretty heavy, expected to have to sand back to even the surface. Instead it shrank so severely it sort of became a skim coat over the card stock.I was required to do a second coat, and it too pulled tight on the surface. The first layer may have been due to me not preparing the card stock so the card absorbed the moisture, causing the skimming effect. But I would have expected the second layer not to shrink as much.I found it very hard and resistant to sanding, but I was not using an aggressive grit (220) no cracking, and solid.

I had never tried this brand before and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't as absorbent as my usual brand which gave me a completely different effect and the bonus to that is by using both I got more variety on my paintings.

I had ordered this product in January 2025, and I just opened the jar today. It was well-sealed, so the modeling paste was not dried out - the consistency was perfect! I used a pallette knife to easily apply the thickness I desired to a prepared canvas - so far it looks great! I am extremely pleased with this product - Thank you!
