Would buy again
Just amazing how tough these are I have cut nails/screws/wire and they are so good they can just cut a thin sheet of paper after cutting tough stuff super sharp.

All others are pretty much junk
Even though these cost 3-5x what the others do, it's worth it. They cut, keep cutting and the longer thicker handles give you more leverage so you don't have to squeeze as hard and hurt your hands squeezing on little handles of the cheapies.

Perfect size
Purchased to replace a very old craftsman dike. Most are much larger, but this is small and perfect for my needs. And MADE IN PENNSYLVANIA!Please don’t buy china junk!

Ive used these since I was 14. Im 67 now.
Trusty CL 337..... Solid tool, great action- fits my hand. Perhaps it is just 50 years of muscle memory, but ive lost count of how many I have gone thorough over the years. A dozen? Still the same tool.

Great little side cutters
Very compact. They have much better leverage than other dikes their size. The action could be smoother which is why they're not 5 stars, but their strength still makes them best in class.

Top quality
For the price, I've not bought any tools better than Channellock. You can't go wrong.

You get what you pay for!
Certainly not the cheapest wire cutters you can buy, but one of the best. After 30 years of use I retired my still useable pair of these to our summer home and put a new pair in my tool box at home. Nice to see some great stuff still made in the USA!

Great pair of cutter
That's a very solid pair of cutter, made in the USA, for a very fair price. They're solidly build and cut really, really well. I specifically chosen the shorter 7" handles because I've got a small pouch to carry cutters on me, and the longer 8 or 9" version would stab me in the stomach when I bend over. These are just short enough, perfect. Despite the shorter handles, they still have a lot of leverage and cut cables and other stuff with ease. The pivot point is really close to the cutting area, which helps a lot.Channellock cutters works differently than other pairs of cutter. Instead of having two blades, they work on the "knife and anvil" principle. There is actually only one sharp blade, the other side is just a tapered, flat surface for what you're cutting to rest on as the other side is cutting through. It cuts as well, if not better, than traditional two blades cutters. It can cut fibrery things such as ropes or kevlar without problem. I found that the blade tend to get less damage when you're cutting harder stuff such as nails, instead of leaving a dent on both blades, there is only a smaller dent on one side. I was worried that because it only cut on one side that it wouldn't work well for stripping small gauge cables(such as phone cables), but they still work decently for that. One thing I also found is that the knife and anvil design actually allows you to cut zipties as flush a it gets; typically, side cutters aren't the best tools for cutting zipties as they leave 1/32 to 1/16th inch long nib out of the head, which result in sharp cut zipties that will scratch your arms. It's usually best to use flush cutters because of that. With the channellock, you can rest the non-cutting blade on the side of the ziptie head and the cutting blade next to the ziptie end, at an angle, as if you were to cut the head at 45°, and have the knife literally shave that ziptie end from the head, leaving a perfectly flush and smooth smooth ziptie cut. No other side cutters can do that!Overall, a great buy, would definitely buy then again if my pair ever get lost or stolen. I've been using them extensively for 6 months now and they still look and works as new. They should last many years.
