Best headphones I’ve ever bought.
Sooo since this is the most expensive pair of headphones I ever bought I can honestly say I’m not disappointed at all. I’ve owned plenty of headphones but not at this price range and I don’t consider myself an audiophile BUT I do know trash audio when I hear it (yeah I’m looking at you AirPods) most people think boomy bass and bright highs are quality headphones but I’d disagree. These headphones have such a natural sound to them and the voacals are so clean and clear, the soundstage is impressive, the range of these headphones are great. Bass is there but it’s not trying to replicate the sound of a subwoofer like the beats headphones try so hard to do. I haven’t noticed any distortion on the IPhone 6s so that’s a plus. One thing to note is if you don’t have a quality source for you music then results will vary think of these like a white car it will show dirty audio if it’s there. Noise isolation is great tho I will say the sound leakage is definitely there so keep that in mind if you’re around people. The comfort is pretty average to me but I have thick hair so it could be different for you.

Great quality
I bought these for my husband who is a professional Dj and runs his entertainment business. He absolutely loves the quality and high performance of these headphones. Very comfortable, well worth the money. Highly recommend.

Poor construction
Use these pretty minimally and only in the studio. One side of the strap adjustment slides out now, and the ear pads bleed dye. I didn't notice the dye until it bled on my desk wood which is ruined now. I'm careful with my equipment, so I wasn't expected them to turn junky so quick. Given no satisfactory options from support in regards to the pads - more of just a shrug and buy some new ones. Not worth the price in the long run.

Not Accurate, not comfortable, not durable
I see the word professional, and I see a brand like focal whom I respect and I spend 300 dollars on headphones so I can work remotely on my laptop. These headphones do not translate accurately what is happening and so when listening back on speakers it’s surprising how bass lite my work is, because these headphones are bass heavy (I’m overcompensating) it’s misleading me. I’ve tried for a few months now to tune my ears to these headphones, and have finally concluded they’re not good for pro use I rely on honesty and accuracy and this hasn’t got that!On top of that, they’re not the most comfortable headphones I’ve ever used either. So this selling point of long term use is wrong. It’s rigid plastic on the headband making it completely inflexible to movement and adjustment. But finally today these 5 month old headphones, dissapointed me the most when the red dye of the ear foam transferred on to one of my favourite shirt collars! A LOT!Save your money, ears, and your clothing and buy something actually made for “professionals”.Even if I was a “consumer” using this product, I don’t expect dye transfer after 4-5 months of light usage of a $300 pro headphone!Dissapointed!

Excellent product with one important catch
These headphone are GREAT for long use. Simlar to other reviews, they're unique in that you can use them for hours (at a reasonable volume) with little to no strain on your ears. The closed back also provides some noise insultation, leading to a more immersive experience. My one issue around these is the headband comfort. The headband is NOT comfortable! It's made of hard plastic with a very thin layer of not-very-soft padding. After about 20-30 minutes I start to experience discomfort wearing these.I wouldn't let this discourage you from buying the Focals however. There are a bunch of headband covers on Amazon that add extra cushioning. I got this one and it will arrive in the next few days: https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Replacement-Protector-Compatible-Headphones/dp/B082W5S9PG/(I will update the review once the cover arrives to see if it helps.)

Durable and Comfortable!
Amazing product! Worth every penny. Unlike many cheap quality headphones out there, this one is made from high quality materials. It's also very comfortable with an excellent sound quality.

My favorite closed headphone.
300 was a bit pricey for what I paid for these originally. The price has been marked down since then. I am completely happy with this purchase and it is currently my favorite headphone.

Supposedly French made, damn fine headphones! --- 24 month update
Supposedly made in France, these headphones are top-notch. At 32-ohms, they aren't ideal for my i-Device, but with a proper headphone amp they're awesome.Big Bass is sensed by the entire body and not just the ears, so headphones will never be on equal footing with full-range speakers. Nonetheless, bass is pretty good and not overdone, and isolation from external noises is really good. They are slightly bulky. The curved headrest on airplane seats interferes a bit with an otherwise perfect fit. After using these exclusively for air travel over the last few years I've learned the left channel is about 5dB quieter than the right channel. I sort of notices it early on, but always dismissed it blaming my ears equalizing unevenly to the lower air pressure at altitude.Pay attention to this "feature" and be ready to send them back. Unfortunately I figured this out 1 month after the manufacturer's warranty expired.
