good strikers
these are good little strikers. perfect for a tiny rod on a keychain. the edges are sharp enough where it requires little effort to get a spark.. the edges seems to retain their sharpness well also.

Easily Gripped, Great Striker (Scraper) for Ferrocerium Rod
Assembled into a "Fire Lanyard Kit" along with a base-camp size Baylite ferrocerium rod (1/2" x 5") and a capsule with a few Epiphany Outdoor Fire Fuse starters connected by 30" of orange reflective 550 paracord tied into a loop, allowing enough length for striking the ferro rod. Both Baylite products work very well.

bayite Striker
The 10 pack is the best value. They work well and make using ferrocium rods a breeze and save your knife blade. I have various survival kits that I threw them in. Definitely a handy little tool to have around.

WOW does it throw sparks.
GREAT little steel striker. It just arrived and I had to try it out. WOW does it throw sparks. I have a few of the old style magnesium block fire starters with the striker flint rod on the side. They came with a little metal blade for making sparks - which - as one might expect - throws little sparks. The Bayite striker puts that little metal blade to shame. Nice BIG sparks. The Striker-Pro functions as advertised and they are reasonably priced. I'm happy.

Effective
I've purchased lots of ferro rods to teach fire starting skills at scout camps and girls camps over the years. The hardest part for the youth is often learning how to get a good spark. These strikers make it easy to get a big spark where they need it.

Ferro rod striker
As a member of a Search and Rescue Team, as well as one of their trainers, this is the best ferro rod striker I have ever used. The edges are squared off perfectly, not enough to cut you, but they make the sparks fly. I recently gave one to a 28 year veteran who teaches primitive fire techniques and he was impressed. You can use the back of a knife blade but this does as well, if not better, with no danger of slipping and cutting yourself. The short, flat hacksaw blades that often come with a "metal match" must be ground down to remove the paint and are difficult to hang on to in cold weather or when the adrenalin is pumping in an emergency. The handle on this striker is easy to hold on to and you get plenty of leverage against the rod. Highly recommend. Good price as well.
