Great for running
I tried CloutLine socks and was surprised. I normally use Darn Tough but find that their thinner socks wear out after a few hundred miles of trail running. Typically for wool socks I find the wool wears away leaving a thin nylon mesh behind. So far my two pairs of cloutline socks have not worn through and I have run many 6+ hour runs with them so far. They definitely last the longest of any wool sock I have tried, and I have tried many. They seem to have a little more synthetic fiber mixed in with the wool which may make the difference. I noticed that they are slightly less comfortable than higher Merino content socks but the difference is barely noticeable. I have not had any blisters while wearing these socks and have run in muddy downpours and icy conditions. Holding up to wear also helps the socks maintain even warmth. So far these are my favorite socks, just above darn tough socks due to their significantly greater durability. I will buy more.

I LIVE in these
WORTH THE PRICE! I"m not overstating things when I say I'm so in love with Merino wool socks that I've stopped wearing anything else. I LIVE in these. You can wear a pair for like a week solid with no washings, put them up to your nose and smell nothing! Unlike other socks these don't wear out at anywhere near the same rate as normal ones. A few years ago I had to be convinced to buy a pair on a challenge, because I couldn't believe the price for one pair of socks. I was told to wear my ONE pair daily for like 6 months so I did, and at the end you could barely tell, they were still almost as good as new. That and my feet seem to stay dryer (the socks wick away the sweat), and like I said they're antibacterial so my feet don't get stinky. And I also seem to not get blisters on my toes since I've started wearing Merino wool socks.

Not a good value.
The wool blend is descent and the fit is good. The heel cup and toe box are poorly executed though. I wouldn’t expect the heel to last long as the seems are pronounced and rub. The toe box is narrow and I have standard width feet. All in all, if these were 3 pair for $10 I’d say they are alright. They certainly aren’t worth $10 per pair. Your money is better spent on Darn Tough. These are half the price but way less than half the quality.

just like the description
These socks are extremely light, just like the description. I've worn them on a few walks so far and haven't had any problems. I would like to say these are so light and thin that they have no padding at all, so don't expect them have any cushioning. Great socks, but not for heavy duty wear.

Won't buy these again - poorly sized and shrink horribly.
It's a pity that these comfortable, good quality socks are so poorly sized and shrink so badly. I ordered these based on the advertised size and was surprised when they arrived, appearing to be hardly close to the advertised size. However, I tried them on and because of they're elastic, they fit "OK" at the start. So I thought I'd go with them. Then I washed them for the first time. Knowing they were wool, etc. I took extra care to use cold water and air dry only. Wow, did they shrink. Now, after three washings, they are tiny and hardly fit. It's a shame. I'd like to buy them again because they feel good, but I won't -- waste of money for unwearable after three washings.

Great for hiking
I picked up these socks for long distance ultralight hiking and they didn't disappoint me. They are soft and stretchy, stay cool, well constructed, and the x-large size fits my size 12 foot just about right. I've only logged about 100 miles on them, but they don't show any wear yet in my problem areas - the toes and heel. I've had other 'softer' socks fail in the toes fairly early. I dinged it 1 star because they are pricey and the toe area has some minor seams inside the sock. The seams don't seem to bother me.

Thin and Attractive but Too Narrow for Wide Feet
The fabric is soft and the colors are nice. Material is thinner and would be a good sock for running or anything where a thinner sock is better. While touted as a kind of unisex sock, they were too narrow for me. I have a slightly wide foot and was right on the border between medium and large. Chose a medium since I dislike socks being too long and it's just too narrow for me to wear. Men should probably size up to the next size if they have a wide foot or are at one of the size breaks.

Funny Seam
I ordered this style sock and the no show style both Cloudline and the first thing I noticed was the seams were different, but they are different style. These being Ultra light cushion and the orther no show being light cushion. This style the seam is on the very edge of the toes and only partially. I wore these socks several times since purchase and truthfully my initial concerns were put to rest. These are ultra light socks, I bought them for use in hot weather, they didn’t cause excessive sweating. They seem well constructed, time will tell if they hold up, but so far they seem pretty good.
