Great earbuds
Ok, I confess I'm definitely not an audiophile. What I am is someone who up until I got these had been using the $5-10 earbuds you find in grocery stores and bodegas, or for a few months the iPhone earbuds, and had no idea what I was missing. It was like going straight from VHS to Bluray.-Audio quality is great; no distortion in the highs and more bass than I thought earbuds could provide. Hear details of music I never knew were there.-Controls that actually fully work on Android! Let me be clear because I was confused on this before purchase and couldn't really find a straight answer: All three buttons work. Volume up, volume down, and the middle button for pause/skip/etc (depending on times clicked). Normally controls are set up like the iPhone earbuds and only the single center button works on Android, so it's nice to have volume adjustment too.-The mic in the control group works well; with the iPhone earbud mic and the cheapo ones people always had trouble understanding or hearing me, but with this I'm coming through clear even while on the subway.-Speaking of the subway, the noise cancellation is pretty good for passive types-- with that and music on medium volume, it very nearly completely drowns out all the bumping, screeching, and panhandlers. What really helps is the different sized tips so the fit is better. However I understand they include fewer of those than the previous model (the E10C's), these include 3 different sizes, but the seller I bought from was nice enough to include an extra set with 5 more sizes. Find a seller that does that and you'll almost certainly find a size that stays in, minimizes noise, and really boosts bass.-It's purely a matter of taste but I love the aluminum design; its a look that really reflects the overall quality. So to wrap things up, I can't tell you how these compare to other similarly priced or fancier earbuds (but also have absolutely no reason to doubt all the other reviews I read that single these out as the best there is under $75 or so). But what I can say is that if you were like me and just used to listening through whatever junk was cheapest, and were wondering if it was really worth it to step up to $50 earbuds, the answer is absolutely Yes. iPhone earbuds are better than the really cheap ones, but not by much, so if you're replacing a pair of those like I was, it's still absolutely worth it to spring for these instead.

Second set if the same outstanding E11C's
I purchased the first E11C's in March of 2019. Recently I lost them and ordered the same E11C version in the same color. The second set arrived and I am as impressed with them as I was last year. There was no question in deciding to stay with Soundmagic. After careful consideration reading reviews on everything from sound capability to comfort and style my decision was Soundmagic. I usually bought cheaper inexpensive yet fairly adequate earbuds. I'm male and 71. And while not an audiophile I do play guitar and bass. I began my musical journey in 1962. My knowledge or expertise is perhaps no more or less qualified than any other music lover but certainly with another perspective as a musician. I considered moving up from 15 and 20$ earbuds to those in a 50+$ realm as a more superior quality sound experience awaiting. I was expecting more. Not so. I've listened with other headphones costing double the E11C on my device and other music and audio sources. There is tonal clarity with the Soundmagic in ear headphone that is very distinct. A complete sound that I do not hear with others. Some but not all products costing the same and much more. I will say that I read most of the negative reviews and criticism from other Amazon buyers of the E11C's. Music is a selective audio experience. There is a solution for some if not most who complained of a muddied and poor defined reproduction that I don't hear. Remove the screens in the cans on the earbuds. I realize their purpose but they are very thick and restrictive. An enhanced more accurate sound will be achieved. It is quite remarkable. The apparent research and tech as well as material in the wiring and construction of this product arrived at in my opinion a departure from the usual design. Even the angled jack indicates a total consideration to create a superior headphone.Another aspect of Soundmagic is their customer service. I called Amazon with a question not being aware that the Audio Equip people were handling the Soundmagic distribution. I received an e-mail from a gentleman named Erik. Amazon informed him of my query and Erik responded within two hours with information I did not request of him. He thoroughly researched mydata to help me. Actually Erik contacted me a number of times with updates on my purchase without being asked to do so. When I needed another order he remembered me from the first exchange a few months ago citing my name and address. I had not ordered the second set at that time. That personal touch is reassuring and if this is indicative of the Audio Equipcorporate structure then we are in good hands. Thanks

Good sounding IEMs, but lacking bass
I've had several IEMs from the likes of JVC, Sony, and Shure. These are a good compromise between price and sound quality. Don't get me wrong, they don't sound bad at all, but aren't at the top of the list either. The sound quality is good, but I would have like a bit more bass. They are comfortable to use and are easy to remove, unlike the "over the ear" IEMs which are annoying to use if you have to take them on and off several times. Would recommend for casual listening, or for laptop use.

Incredible sounding headphones, well worth double the cost
I bought these after seeing so many hifi blogs recommend them. They're simply brilliant and incredibly durable. I accidentally ran mine through the wash after leaving them in my pocket. They work flawlessly even after that!Great bass response, amazing clarity in mids, and the treble sounds smooth.
