DO NOT EVER USE THIS PRODUCT
I have been using these for quite some time. Loved the idea that you just tossed the egg into the washer. Then I noticed that my panties were looking very dingy and thought I'd try rewashing them in the sink with some of my leftover laundry detergent. After a few minutes of swirling them around in the soapy water, I was horrified. The water was brown! Now, these are ladies panties, white, beige and light pink, worn once, then tossed in the laundry hamper. Never washed with anything dark. When I showed my husband, he said he thought his shirts did not smell or look very clean. So, for all you people that have given high ratings on this product, take one piece and try washing it out in the sink and see what happens.

So thankful we found this!
I was skeptical at first but I love the Ecoegg! The clothes come out clean and smelling great. It is a gentle smell but you can tell it isn’t just covering a dirty smell, it is clean. Just make sure to follow the instructions. It needs enough water to work well so don’t over fill the machine. I also bought their detox tablets to help clean out the machine from our previously hard water before we bought our new water system. We haven’t had any issues and are completely satisfied with how it works. So much better and cheaper than the natural detergents I have tried.

I was skeptical
I was not sure about trying these, but seem to work great. I have allergies to most detergents so have always had to get fragrance and dye free. This is a great alternative to liquid or powder soap. Seems to get clothes clean and I've had no allergy problems using it. Even though is "fresh linen" scented the laundry comes out sent free. That was the hardest thing to get comfortable with, having laundry that smells like nothing. I will defiantly continue using the egg.

Disappointed
When I purchased the original eco egg it seemed to work wonderfully. The black tourmaline beads lost their power and the eco egg website has nowhere to purchase more , nor is there a customer service number to call for help.

Did not clean odor out of clothes…
I wanted to love this product since I hate buying gallons and gallons of laundry detergent, but the clothes were not clean after washing with the ecoegg alone.I noticed some people added Borax with the egg, which to me, totally defeats the purpose, Borax alone will clean your clothes. I have a top loading Maytag washer, which has always done a decent job for me with laundry detergent, but with just the ecoegg, clothes came out smelling bad.I honestly think it’s a gimmick, I’m sure water alone would clean some clothing that weren’t too stinky, but when it came to cleaning sweaty work clothes, the egg did not cut it!!!

so far, so good
It seems to be working fine for me - but I don't have any particularly dirty things to wash. My roommate is with horses all day, so she adds a bit of regular detergent to give it a boost. I like the idea that I won't be messing around with liquid laundry detergent for awhile. I know there are other options but this one is working for me.

Ok ! I was a little dubious about this AMAZIIIIING LITTLE EGG ! Apparently saving you money , I’ve done a white wash , and guess what !!! It works ! Since my rat of an ex after 22 years decides to leave , I’m left to look after the whole house with other humans residing here ! So I thought since he doesn’t give me a penny and I need to save money , I tried this and so far so GOOD ! I have done 6 washes so I want to see if it lives up to it’s promise of 210 washes ! I will come back and let you all know !

Everyone should have an eco egg !
First of all buy the egg set from the company direct you get the black pellets and cup holder and detox tablets that way. When refilling you get 2 boxes in this set. Each box has 3 bags of white pellets only empty the white pellets from your egg (keep the black). Then put ALL 3 bags in your egg. I had this confirmed by eco egg after so many reviews and stuff said otherwise.(Old pellets can’t be composted but can go in regular bin)I love my eco egg I think it’s so much easier no more carrying heavy boxes of powder and conditioner, no more worrying about my kid getting to harmful chemicals, way better for the environment chemical wise and less plastic, more space under the sink, cheaper list goes on.This scent is lovely too but if you want to be stronger can use essential oils added to the washing machine drawer!

Fantastic Product Highly recommended
These are fantastic. At first I was rather sceptical about how this could get clothes clean and fresh but it does and does it really well. We have been using this product for over a year now and wish we had used it from the first time it came on the market. We also used to have a horrid smell coming from the washing machine which is apparently a common thing with modern machines which operate at much lower temperatures when using conventional biological washing liquids or powder Since using Ecoegg the residue that had built up has been cleaned out of the drum, pumps and pipework and thoroughly flushed through and the machine we no longer got the nasty odour. It will also apparently prevent corrosion caused to aluminium parts of the inner drum support caused by biological products. This unfortunately was in our case too late and the inner drum support / spider recently broke due to corrosion caused by years of using bio liquid and Calgon (Whilst removing Limescale also Corrodes aluminium) . A Spare part for our washing machine was no longer available so new washing machine the only option. I will not be using corrosive products of any type in this one and also not flushing biological agents into the environment

The ecoegg is the only way.
We have been using these for around 2 years now. I can't understand why people still insist on using liquid or tablets. These are very economical, better for the environment and much much less messy, i.e. no gunge around the portal rubber seal. We wouldn't consider anything else.

I think it's great value for money
I have this quite a while as I wanted to give it a proper test. I think it's great value for money. I do need to use a stain remover with it on some items (my husband is a gardener so you can imagine the dirt!) but I have to do that anyway with normal washing liquid. It has saved us so much money and although it means the clothes don't smell as fresh as normal liquid, a bit of fabric conditioner sorts that out if that's something that bothers you.
