Literally plug and play. Powered on plugged leads into my virgin box. Sound was good. Remote worked fine. Product is small . About same size as an audio cassette .Only gripe is the optical lead provided is of poor build quality and was intermitant with the sound. Had my own lead worked a treat.For £15 you get quite a good little handy device for headphones from a TV that doesn't have phone jack

Connected to ultra hd Blu-ray player via high quality toslink cable for connection to high quality sound speakers to play audio cd's and movie sound tracks.Good clear sound and volume, excellent remote operation, except sound kept cutting out for milliseconds during playback at intermittent periods of time, ok if sound outage in this timeframe does not bother you, but not for audiophiles.Thought it may be a fault on unit, had unit replaced, same thing happened again.

Firstly; There are no blindingly bright blue LED's, as is the case with so many electronic devices today.Secondly; What it does have is, five gentle green LED's, one each for mute, coaxial, toslink and volume up and down, plus an equally gentle red power indicator. Also on the front panel are three buttons, two for adjusting the volume and one to select the input mode along with an infrared receiving window.On the rear there are three inputs, 5volt power, (i.e. mobile phone charger), one for toslink and the other for coaxial. There is also three outputs, two RCA phono's for the left and right channels and a 3.5mm coaxial socket.Does it work?.......Yes! and it does it very well. I use it to feed the digital audio from my Kodi TV box to my analogue Audiolab 8000A amplifier which drives my Magnaplanar MG-1.4's speakers. I was a little sceptical of it's performance-for-the-price when you can pay many hundreds of pounds for a D to A converter but, my scepticism was unfounded as it performs admirably.Thank you Neotec for a great D-to-A converter.

I use these Neoteck DAC devices to make hearing assists for deaf people (like me) to make hearing the TV easy and this is very best I have tried, and the cheapest by far. The quality and features make my job easy, get a long TOSlink cable (on Amazon) and run it from the TV to the DAC add a USB power source (phone charger) and a favorite pair of headphones. Job done and it has a dinky remote control as well. The sound quality is pure digital and excellent, pity about what's on TV.

I have never immagine that a complex converter is need for this stupid tasc...why they put this digital aidio port on the TVs? ..anyway it is just headache...used once...conections and sound not great...hissing sound etc

This little DAC is very good for the price. I have installed it between my tv/PS4 and a power amp and it works amazingly well. My only criticism is that the volume control is quite coarse, sometimes it’s hard to get the exact volume you want.Overall, a bargain.

No point in doing a review, this product does not work . I dont want a refund or replacement, i just put it down to experience

I use this to connect my digital out on my tv to my active external speakers. Sound quality is good to my ears but hard to say for sure as I don't really anything to compare it to. The only issue I have with this unit is there isn't much in the way visual indication of the unit state (power, volume levels, mute etc). It has an led to show when it's muted but it can be hard to see if you are doing anything when you are trying to adjust the volume.

I needed (wanted) a cheap remote controlled DAC for my motor home. This works well. If I could hear a big chasm between192kbps audio vs 320kbps audio I would have bought something that would produce 320kbps audio streaming. I doubt most people can hear the difference.

Ich war auf der Suche nach einem neuen Soundsystem für meinen neuen Fernseher, habe mich aber letztlich dazu entschieden einfach mein „altes“ Logitech-System an den Fernseher anzuschließen. Über den Kopfhörerausgang ließ sich die Lautstärke jedoch nicht mit einer Fernbedienung regeln, also recherchierte ich und suchte nach Digitalwandlern mit Fernbedienung und bin schließlich auf diesen hier gestoßen.Anschließen ist kinderleicht, das toslink-Kabel ist lang genug und das Gerät selbst passt von der Größe her perfekt, um es unter eine der Boxen zu platzieren.Die Qualität ist top, die Boxen klingen gut und verlieren an keiner Leistung. So kann man sich mal eben mit wenig Geld und einem alten Soundsystem eine Klangqualität herholen, welche die von unnötig überteuerten Soundbars zumindest meiner Meinung nach weit übertreffen.Die einzig minimalen Mankos: die Lautstärkeregelung erlaubt nur ein Verstellen von insgesamt 10 Stufen, stört mich aber kaum. Die Verarbeitung der Fernbedienung ist ebenfalls nicht die allerbeste, kann man aber mit leben.Kann das Gerät bis jetzt also durchaus weiterempfehlen!

J'ai choisi ce modèle car il avait la télécommande et que je trouvais ça pratique. Pour le prix que ça représente, pourquoi s'en passer ?

Arrivato veloce, decisamente compatto, il prodotto è formato da un'unità converter, un cavo usb-micro usb ed un cavo per il collegamento ottico. Installato in pochi minuti su una tv come quelle moderne dove (chissà perchè) hanno tolto l'uscita cuffie (mannaggia a loro). preso per collegare un seti di casse 2.1 da pc che mi avanzavano e supplire al pietoso audio dei televisori moderni. Il tutto funziona egregiamente, l'unica pecca che c'è, è l'impossibilità di una correzione toni (bassi e alti). Il telecomando fornito lavora bene, ma il punto è che ora ci sono due telecomandi (tv, per cambiare canale e quello del convertitore per regolare il volume). Il prodotto ha pure l'uscita cinch per collegare il classico cavo con connetori RCA. Per il prezzo che costa ne sono (attualmente) supersoddisfatto.-
