Phillips of Bristol Pink Cloves Syrups and Cordials

As a young whippersnapper, I could often be found in bars and nightclubs around the World drinking 'rum and black', and when I had a cold I drank hot 'rum and cloves'. Now I'm older I don't drink either, but when I saw this I couldn't resist buying a bottle in an attempt to create the romantic wonder of those long, cold winter nights, wrapped up in a blanket watching rubbish TV and sipping this stuff. I'm glad I did - it still tastes great!

Okay, I went crazy over Christmas and wanted to kind of collect the set of Phillps cordials. Lovage: yum. Shrub: yum. This....er....I just don't know. It tastes of cloves. While this is obvious from the title, it is worth reiterating :) Does it really go with anything? Do you use it to get drunk when you have toothache? Gargle with it when you have a cough? It's a mystery. I suspect it will sit at the back of the cupboard. And that I will try it again about once a year.

Nothing to dislike in my opinion but it’s so hard to get hold of .

Dark rum, more than a splash of Pink cloves, an ice cube - and I'm in Xmas heaven....sip slowly....So why can't I get it anywhere at the moment (Nov 2020)?Christmas will not be the same this year without this winter warmer....:(

You should try some with woods rum best tipple you will try, also great for colds
