Excellent video quality with great options menu. Easy to set up and unobtrusive. The only negative is sensitivity detects hitting a pothole as a vehicle impact although there is an adjustment you can make to the sensitivity.

Good Camera with some basic faults. I would not buy again.
This is a good camera spoiled by some stupid design faults.I bought two of these cameras almost 18 months ago, one for me and one for my wife. During that time I was involved in a very nasty accident when my Honda CRV was hit in the front offside at a cross roads by an uninsured driver in a white van. It was my right of way and the combined speed of the accident was about 60mph. My vehicle was pushed across the pavement, over a grass verge, into a road traffic sign, through a brick wall and into someone's front garden and then into the car parked on his drive.Despite the severity of the accident the camera performed excellently and recorded everything. Including the footage just before the accident which was locked onto the memory card so everything that occurred was recorded. Excellent. However this camera is spoilt by several things.1. When the weather is hot and the car interior temperature rises in the summer the pathetic little adhesive pad the camera comes with to stick it to the windscreen fails. The screen and interior heats up, the adhesive becomes soft and the camera falls off the screen. Once that happens it continually falls off even without the screen getting hot especially when going over speed bumps. The camera falls off and dangles on the end of the power cord which is VERY flimsy.2. Eventually the window mount fails and the back plate where the pad sticks dethatches from the mount. A new mount which is a pathetic piece of plastic worth no more than a few pounds will cost you £39 from the Kenwood Spare Parts company and there is nowhere else that you can buy one.3. The power lead into the camera is very very flimsy and consists of three very thin wire that attach to the end of power lead that fits into the camera. Because the camera continually falls off the screen in the summer you have to keep plugging and unplugging the lead from the camera and this will eventually cause it to fail long before the camera fails. If a stupid window mount costs £39 heaven knows how much a new power lead is.I would not buy this product again purely because of these pathetic design faults.

Kenwood DRV-830 Satisfied Owner
Agee with all 5 star reviews. Installed January 2020 & still working well. Would like to have the option to dim the screen at night as where I had to mount it the bottom of the screen is just visible below rear-view mirror. No problems with the unit falling of the windscreen, it is important to first clean the area of the windscreen where the support bracket is to be located with alcohol. Also have same dash cam in my wife’s car. This model of dash cam was purchased on the recommendation of my neighbour who has had one in his car & another in his wife’s car for a couple of years with no problems. Both units purchased in January 2020 from Halfords, each for £80 + £23.99 Hardwire fitting Kit.Good price as end of line in Halfords.
