For a beginner, I love it!!
Ok so I have virgin lightish brown hair. I'm 23 and I've never dyed it. In October I got some semi permanent pink dye in parts of my hair for breast cancer awareness month. It washed out after quite a few washes, but that is what started my interest in experimenting with color in my hair. I wanted to go for a deep red color to blend with my natural color, and for a fun holiday color. I didn't want to go for semi permanent again because it's literally like hair paint on the surface of my hair. I didn't want the mess all over my hair. So I took a leap of faith and went for this box of demi-permanent color. My mom did it for me and it came out perfect!! We followed all the instructions and the next morning after it was completely dry it was a gorgeous natural looking color. I didn't do the strand test or the allergy test, but I was fine. I waited the 10 min until showering the dye out. I would highly recommend it.(In my pics, the left is my natural virgin hair and the right 2 pics is the outcome of one box of this gorgeous hair magic lol)

Covers grays for 28 shampoos, but vibrant color fades quickly.
Overall, I’m very pleased with this hair color and will continue to use. If you’re expecting your hair to stay close to the color on the box for 28 washes, you’ll probably be disappointed. I’m in my mid 30s and have medium brown hair with a handful of random grays - enough that they annoy me, but not enough to be really obvious to others yet. It’s been about 5 weeks since I colored and my grays just started showing back up a few days ago. So it did cover my grays for approximately 28 shampoos. But the original color faded significantly after about a week. At first hair was dark brown with lots of red, but for the majority of the past month it’s been closer to my natural hair color with just a hint of red. But, my grays were gone, so I was happy.

Great product
I haven’t used box hair color in over 10 years. We just moved and it’s near Christmas and I just don’t have time to go to the salon. I was too nervous to do permanent over my already bleached ends so I picked this up. I used burgundy black. Literally amazing transformation! My brassy, gross ends are gone! It helped I already had bleach to pick up the color. My roots are blackish/dark brown and there really wasn’t much tint that is there. Overall I think it’s great for the in between salon visits. Very happy

Excellent shade at a GREAT price!
This is the only...the ONLY.. semi-permanent red out there on the commercial/drug store market that isn't in the brown or highly pink family. This has nice golden undertones and works well if you are a natural redhead. It covers grays pretty well and makes your hair so soft! Definitely a great buy at this price. You won't find this color in a semi-permanent shade anywhere else unless you are willing to fork over 5x the money. Thank God Clairol brought this color back!

Awful!
This is NOT golden red..it is red golden and my hair turned out the orange color of Bozo....especially my white hair. Beware if you have white hair.

Love the Color
I've used Natural Instincts for many years. I love that it doesn't leave really defined color differences when your hair grows out, because the color washes out a little each time you wash your hair. It's easy to use and looks very natural. I get a lot of compliments on the color. I've just started noticing that it's not lasting as long as it used to. I don't know if it's due to a formula change or if it's due to my natural hair maturing. Either way, it doesn't matter to me. I love the color and I will continue to use it.

I love this brand/ Doesn't have the harsh ingredients of the permanent hair colours. So good i you are more sensitive amonia. Its washes out in a certain number of washes so you are not married to the colour. I've used this brand for years and haven't been disappointed. I do normally get two boxes when I have longer hair. Great option when you are trying to see i a certain colour would work for you as well. Or you just want to do something different and fun for a short time.

Absolutely love this color
Arrived fast ..love the color very light red and I wish I can keep using it but my hair is previously damaged and this dye dryed my hair more it says it’s a semi but it uses a developer so it most likely is a Demi ..love this product tho and when my hair is more healthy I will definitely buy again but for now I need semi permanent..I recommend this hair color it’s absolutely beautiful and simple to use, the color is very natural looking much lighter than the box picture.
