It works against active leaks in pressurized lines!
It's a bit hard to use (a third hand / helper helps!) but this stuff has held for over 2 years against a pinhole leak in the main 65psi pipe in my well house with no issues. I have used it twice to stop active small leaks!A few notes:1. The directions are right when they say to wrap above and below the area you're patching You want a solid base layer on both sides, then over the leaky area, then again on both sides to pin down the tape over the leak.2. At the end of your strip of tape, it doesn't stick to itself very well. I had the best success starting it on the pipe with a small piece of duct tape, and then duct taping over it to keep it from unraveling. Duct tape will not stop water. This will!3. Make sure you follow the directions and stretch it to 3x the un-stretched length.I just used up my first roll. I'm buying a second because I have found no substitute for this when dealing with leaks.

Warning - There is no adhesive on either side of this tape
Warning - There is no adhesive on either side of this tape, and I wish this was disclosed before I made the purchase. You must stretch the tape hard and then wrap around the repair unit (like pipes...etc) at least once so it can "stick" one end of the tape to the surface of another tape.THIS MEANS YOU DO NOT WANT TO USE THIS ITEM ON "SOFT TUBE" such as pool's backwash blue rubber tube or a inflatable boat.Hard pipes will work fine.Update: Vendor believes that I got a defect or fake and sent me another rescue tape. While the new one looks identical, the adhesive side works out much better than the old one I had. The instruction says you should stretch twice as long before you used it, but it will stick even if you just stretch a bit. Still, you can't use this like a regular tape. You can't just tape it "flat" on something. You have to wrap it around so the adhesive side ends up sticking on the top of the tape. Again, just pealing this tape off from the plastic film will NOT give you the adhesive, you must "fuse" it with the tape itself. The new one I receive has much better quality but still won't work on soft tube (like pool's backwash tube). You will hate this tape if you use it on the wrong project and love it if you use it on the right stuff.

Love this stuff
Great for just about anything. My new favorite go to besides electrical tape. Comes in a variety of colors and sticks to itself.

Good BUT…
I’ve used rescue tape on my boat as a temporary fix on both waterlines to my water heater and to the recirculating system on my engine. In both cases it worked great as a temporary fix until new hoses were installed. Now, I had a leak in my daughter’s drain pipe from her washing machine (in the basement ceiling). The tape didn’t work well on the black “PVC” pipe. It didn’t adhere like I was used to.

Works as intended!
Great product! Just stretch and wrap...will stay in place permanently or semi-permanently depending on conditions. I sealed up a small piece of tubing and it worked like a charm...no problems, probably could have left it there for ever but eventually I replaced the tubing.

Works great. Just peel it off the plastic liner and go
I fixed a section of sprinkler tubing using some barbed fittings. After I that I wrapped the whole thing in Rescue Tape. Rescue Tape is easy to work with. Just peel it off the plastic liner and use it as instructed on the package.
