Everyone's missing the true potential of this thing.
Everyone's missing the true potential of this thing. What I do with it: I have a little Dell Venue 8 Pro windows tablet. It's not flashy, but it runs windows 10 like a charm. And you know what? It fits in this clip, comfortably. So why would I clip that in there?XBOX/PC STREAMING. This clip makes it so that I can have my tablet clipped to the controller (and i can plug the controller into the tablet since it's a full PC) and use Windows 10's Xbox to PC streaming (as well as Steam's in-home streaming). I now have a portable handheld that can stream all Xbox One games and my entire Steam library and I can take it anywhere in the house! As for the clip itself, it's sturdy, well constructed, and doesn't impede your hands at all. My only complaint is that you can't press the sync button while the clip is on there.

Works well, well made - entirely incompatible with headset adapter
The clip is very solid powder coated metal. It mounts solidly and holds the phone equally as well.It goes on and comes of quickly, using a pair of rubber straps - it also came with a spare set in case you lose one.The phone is held by a spring-loaded clip that has enough travel to hold any phone I've tried well. The clip metal is cut to not block any of the controller's buttons or the charging connector, and the headset connector at the bottom is equally exposed. However, the clip itself prevents the connection of the Xbox Headset or Stereo Headset Adapter. There may be some third-party products that would work, but the metal of the clip as well as the tabs that attach the rubber straps just will not allow the headset to be attached. This is odd, because the greatest advantage of the SmartGlass app is for multiplayer games. There may be products that get around that, but as well made as this clip is -- I really have no use for it.

X-ACTO knife highly recommended
I bought this to mount my Xperia XA and Lumia 640 to my Xbox One S controller. The Xbox One S controller added Bluetooth to the 2015 revision but raised the lip around the Xbox button. YouTubers said it still fit and showed it so I paid the money and waited for it to arrive. When it finally did I could endorse that message, with an amendment: It holds the connect button down. That forces you to readd it every time you use it.I'll also mention not every Android phone or tablet supports Xbox One S controllers. Windows 10 Mobile plays nice with it as you might expect (I'm talking to you, last remaining organism of our species.) And iOS? Don't count on it. My Xperia XA didn't work when I got it but when it updated to Android Nougat it started working. Anyways, if you don't have an Xbox One S controller yet ask a friend who does if you can connect it and try to navigate the home screen. If it works, long-press the home screen, go to Settings, and enable Auto rotation to use the home screen in landscape mode.Assuming your device works with the Xbox One S controller buy this thing (Or maybe you're a weirdo that wants this to use Smartglass on the original Xbox One controller like it was designed for.) But what about the connect button? That's where the X-ACTO knife comes in. There's a dip on back of the upper-left hook but the raised lip of the S controller misaligns it. Cutting the upper-left hook off will take several minutes, and make sure your fingers aren't in its path. If you do cut the upper-left hook off you won't be able to put the left band on, leaving you 3 spares. It's still pretty firm, but not braggably so. But at least it won't hold the connect button anymore! In the end you'll be left with the Nintendo Switch of the Nvidia Shield Portable, and hopefully you're a Prime comrade so you don't have to pay for shipping. This thing's at markup in comparison to MSRP, not that Nyko carries this thing anymore. It's also worth noting your phone will probably be off-center cause the arm holds your power, volume, or Bixby buttons down, not that you care for the latter (Burn ですね。) It's a solid clone of Sony's Game Control Mount for the Xbox One Controller, and I highly recommend it in my current, amputated form.

Blocks ports and adapters, despite the info...
It blocks the headphone port on the newer controllers and doesn't allow for any chatpads/3rd party headset adapters because of the way it mounts to the controller.I bought it specifically to use with a chatpad BECAUSE Nyko/the marketing-guy that made the Amazon-listing advertised it as not blocking any ports. They lied. I'm pretty frickin' angry.Other than that, it DOES hold my phone, and it does so surprisingly-well, so it does deserve some credit.(Please excuse the creative-photography with the mirror. My phone is my camera.)

Works Great on the Nimbus Controller
Works great on the Nimbus SteelSeries controller other then the power and bluetooth buttons are partially hidden (possibly a toothpick could be used on the power button and I can still use the bluetooth button when clip is attached). One of the best clip-ons for the Nimbus as it holds firmly device's as wide as the iPad Mini. The clip-on itself attaches firmly to the Nimbus as well. Very durable plastic and comes with and extra set of straps and if treated right should last a long while. I'm confident the straps can be replaced fairly easily if it ever comes down to replacing them as they are just that-rubber straps.

Perfect for the Fallout 4 Pipboy App.
My wife has been playing Fallout 4 with this and she always gets a kick out of using the Pipboy App on her iPhone 6S with it strapped into the controller cradle. The rubber bands on the back feel sturdy enough, but I can imagine them snapping off or breaking if you were to try and remove your phone in a fit of angst/rage; word to the wise, don't do that. That said, this controller cradle gets the job done and it helped us bypass the cumbersome price of ordering a Pipboy edition either from a price scalper on Ebay or from another seller here on Amazon. Taking that into account you really can't go wrong with this device as it straps onto your Xbox One controller snuggle and even with the largest iPhone available it sits snug/secure enough that it won't fall out unless you actively shake the controller up and down in a fit of angst/rage, like I mentioned before.Enjoy, happy hunting in the wasteland.
