This cold pack is amazing! I have severe arthritis, degenerative disc disease (spondyosis, stenosis and herniated discs in my cervical spine), and rely on ice packs to help manage my debilitating chronic pain and and migraines. I’ve used several different flexible ice packs, and this one is definitely the best! So, here’s why:It stays colder MUCH longer than the neck wraps made by Elasto-gel, and is longer to wrap around my shoulders. The gel is a bit squishy once it begins to warm up, so I can lightly squeeze the ice pack to redistribute the gel where I want it most. The covering is well constructed, and although it isn’t soft like the Elasto-gel’s Lycra cover, it isn’t uncomfortable or stiff to wrap around my neck, even without using a towel or cloth (I know it’s safer for the skin to use a towel, but I need an ice pack to be as COLD as possible!). I have sensitive skin, and after using for several days now, I’m impressed- This ice pack isn’t scratchy, doesn’t stick to my skin, contains no latex, and hasn’t caused any irritation at all.I also use a cervical roll shaped ice pack made by Elasto-gel, which stays cold a little longer than anything else, but ultimately, I wouldn’t purchase it again. The cervical roll ice pack has become permanently sticky after a couple years of regular daily use. The elasto-gel packs MUST be kept dry in the freezer, inside a sturdy ziplock type bag, and as careful as I’ve been, the slightest accidental exposure to moisture inside the freezer results in a sticky/gooey feel on the ice pack that I can’t figure out how to remove, no matter what I try. It just keeps coming back, and it feels really unpleasant and “wet.”I also use flexible clay filled cold/heat packs from ThermiPaq, which are nice, but they just don’t stay cold for very long. I’ve also not been impressed with the Velcro closure on the ThermiPaq’s fabric covers- I own 4 of these, and the 2 newest ones, purchased in the last year, don’t seem to be as well made as the ones I’ve had for 10 years. I will say that the older ice packs have held up remarkably well... but I needed another one, and wanted something that would get super cold and stay that way! The FlexiKold meets that need perfectly!Cons? While this ice pack doesn’t have the fabric cover with Velcro to help secure it around your neck (like the Elasto-Gel and ThermiPaq ones) I don’t really think these Velcro straps are all that comfortable to wear, so it’s not really a problem for me. Also, the Flexi-Kold is only for cold use, and cannot be microwaved like the ThermiPaq can, but I don’t really need hot packs, anyway.This ice pack chills much more quickly (just a couple hours to cold, several hours to get it SUPER cold), it is comfortable, flexible, seems like it will hold up much better, and is larger than my other ones. If anything changes, I will update my review, but I have to say that I wish I could trade the other ones I have for another FlexiKold neck cold pack! I will probably purchase a couple of the knee-sized Flexi-Kold packs soon, as well, since I also use on my knees multiple times per day.I purchased this item at full price, and received no discount or other consideration for my review. Great product, very well made, durable and stays colder longer than my other neck ice pack variations.I'm a big guy, 6ft 2in, 19in neck, so the side flaps aren't long enough to snug in as in every image on the product page. This isn't a huge deal to me as I'm focusing on a pinched nerve in my cervical spine, and the center portion of this ice pack is the most relevant for my need.5th star if they would lengthen the side flaps or simply and a strap feature for bigger people like me. Still a good product and I won't return it

The design makes it possible to wrap the ends onto the sides of the neck. Great ice pack. It's my go to when I have neck pain or headaches.

I absolutely love my Gel Ice Pack Wrap! It’s been a game-changer for my neck pain. The wrap stays cold for a surprisingly long time, providing lasting relief. It’s comfortable, easy to use, and genuinely helps me feel better. Highly recommend it!

Molded to stay in place. This is what some customers complain about, but these packs are from the freezer.Now as a pain sufferer for too many years I can deal with molding it to my body when this pack feels incredible for so long. Forget about any other pack out there in which you need to immediately have to stick in the freezer after 15-20 minutes of usage when you need more therapy. These are the tops.The stitching on them lends to its sturdy design. Just be aware not to allow animals near them because what's inside is a no-no. I have a back one from a different company that isn't on Amazon, but I'm not sore because this place knows what they are doing.

I combed through the mixed reviews, but decided to go ahead and give this one a try. I have to come back and say, all of the reviews that mentioned this doesn't stay cold long is correct. It really last no time at all. I wish now I would have just asked for the brand my PT uses and ordered the same. Having said that. The quality of the make seems to be ok. If you only ice for 10 minutes or so, it will probably do for you.
