I have been brutal with my weedwaker. Lots of revierws don't ; like the battery power. If you do lots of work outside get a bigger batter.I maintain a trail and surrounding areas from weeds. I use 2 larger batteries together last 1 1/2 hrs which is enough physical excercise for me. If you do lots of work outside get a bigger battery.If you cut long grass it could wip arround and freeze the rotation of the cutting reel line which will strip a plastic gear inside. Which can be replaced for 30 dollars. I recommned cutting long grass in sections. Replacement Part is available on Amazon.I worked 2 hours every day for 5 months clearing a trail and the weed wacker worked perfectly.

This trimmer is lightweight and easy to handle, which makes yard work much simpler. The battery lasts a good amount of time and charges quickly. I love that the line feeds automatically so I never have to stop and fix it. Switching from trimming to edging takes only seconds. It is powerful, quiet, and perfect for keeping my yard neat.

I’m on my 2nd one of these and it’s on the fritz now. 1st one lasted about 2 seasons. This one is about to go out after 2nd season. Why keep buying? Because I have bought 8 batteries and several spools of string spools. I have a big yard with a lot of trimming. So basically an average yard would probably get 4 - 6 yrs use. My property however is pretty big. Takes 4 - 5 hours just to trim. As long as you keep it trimmed, this thing does a good job and is light weight. If u let jt go for 2-4 weeks, may as well get the gas trimmer out. This weed trimmer is good for moderate to light duty grass. It’s not powerful enough to get anything long or thick. So you hafta stay on top of trimming. If you do that, this will be an effective alternative to a heavy gas trimmer when you have plenty of time to trim. This thing is slower than a gas unit because it’s low power. I will buy 1 more of these but as my batteries start to wear out, I’mma start tossing them and not replacing them anymore and switch to a 40v. I’m ordering another one at $76 only because I have 6 good batteries and just ordered 2 more before my trimmer started acting up again (Early stages of the motor going out). Like I said, for what I put it through, can’t really complain so I’m giving it 4 stars.

This is the third one I have purchased over the last 20 years. Still uses the same type battery. Some Suttle changes made over the years. This is the best one yet. Auto line feed works perfectly. The guide lets you know how far you need to be from what you are trimming. I will continue to buy this Black and Decker weed trimmer as long as it's made. Light weight easy on your arms and back. Not made for heavy duty use but if you trim your yard every 7 - 10 days this weed trimer can handle the job easily. Able to trim with much more precision than my larger gasoline weed trimer ,

I accidentally got the 20 volt instead of the 40 volt I purchased before. The battery matches my craftsman drill battery. I prefer the 40 volt, but this is good for most people's standard yards.

This trimmer edger works great. I've used this a lot and still on the first spool. The spool change out is very easy. I would definitely recommend this for yard use, The battery life is fantastic.

It is exactly what I thought it would be. It is cute. Light. Friendly I put it together easily. No messy smells, no icky fluids, no sharp edges or fiddly bits.I had some grass/weed growing in the driveway I wanted to whack down. This darling of a device took care of it. Politely, it gently massaged the shoulders of the weed clump till with a sigh and a shiver it slowly gave ground and gently moved away from the cracks.I hate getting old. I hate tools that feel like toys. I hate getting other younger folks to cut my grass and trim my lawn.If you want light duty, light dusting of cute little baby grass clumps move on to a more gentle location this is the toy for you.

I have had many of the smaller electric trimmers over the years and this is by far the best. So easy to use and the auto line feed is not only convenient but saves on the amount of line used. Really good product and would recommend it highly.
