I got this book as a way to expand my knowledge without having the experience and it goes into great detail and clearly explains how everything works. It is an almost exhaustive list of topics and techniques covered

This is a readable and comprehensive book covering a wide variety of biochemical and molecular biology techniques. Each technique is more than adequately detailed and it is generally understandable by even the initial user. It appears reasonably up to date in all areas.It covers DNA methods, chromatography, centrifugal methods, radioactive methods and so forth. There is even a chapter discussing Python as applied to the measurement techniques.This is a great reference book but it also is great as an introduction to many of the measurement areas. Anyone in the field should have access to this book.On the negative side, not really a big issue, is that it is quite large, about 950 pages, and a bit cumbersome, but well produced. For the price it is a fantastic buy.
