Nice set of paddles
I needed a light weight set of paddles for my kids blow up boat. These are easy to put together, they float well and are small enough to fit on side of boat.

Well made and sturdy
We like that you can disassemble them for easy carry. They are made well and work rowing the pool boats, however the paddles are hard so we had to watch that no one got whacked in the head while playing

Peferfect for the occassional use.
I ordered a very large 6 person raft that through user reviews was very clear would be a pain in the rear if there is not something to help you steer it. So.. amazon offered these as an 'add on' item. I absolutely think they are worth the add-on price of $5 or $4.70 whatever I paid for them. Are they plastic? Yes. Will they hold up on a lake? Most likely... Would you want these to navigate rapids? Um no. The negative reviews are always interesting to read and I wonder what expectations are had for this kind of product. They got the job done, they are long enough and sturdy enough to be effective on a lake with 4 grown adults and 3 children on a raft. I would recommend them.. but probably not if you are planning on using them for kayaking or something more stressful to the product.

We were hanging out the campsite having a nice time, and I was struggling because my floaty ...
It all started when I attached my GoPro to one of the oars. I believe it was the left oar. Yes, yes it was. We were hanging out the campsite having a nice time, and I was struggling because my floaty back was getting in the way, so I took it off because hey, I'm not around any water. Fast forward a few Coors Lights and a couple hours later and I'm in the lake. The oar floats with my GoPro attached though so I'm not worried. Fast forward another hour and my buddy is trying to tow me in the raft with his little fishing boat and it is not going well. I drop the oar as the raft folds under itself and I fall out. I do save my Rocky Mountain nectar AND the oar with the GoPro, but I do notice it was starting to sink. Better keep a hold on it! I climb into the boat with my 3 friends and we head out to the big rock to jump off. When we get there I'm like I don't wanna jump off I'll just watch and sip my C minus. I do give the GoPro oar to my friend Charlie and tell him to NOT let go of it when he jumps off the cliff. He jumps and gets some probably pretty rad footage as he goes down, but he totally lets go of the oar. I watch from way above as it flips yellow end down and starts lowering into the murky water. I yell at him to get it but he doesn't, and the handle disappears below the surface, releasing little bubbles as it goes down. I yell expletives as I drop my smoothie and jump. I let go of 2 pairs of sunglasses and my friend Jenny's camera and my hat flies off. I land in the water and start swimming frantically. I grab the oar. That was SO close. Jenny recovered her camera (which was waterproof and floated) and is overall pretty cool about me basically sacrificing her stuff to get my GoPro and oar. We all get back in the boat and start heading back. I swear what happens next is not related to me driving but we are going pretty fast for the little boat and a large wake hits us from the side and the boat rolls. Everyone slides to the right and that causes the boat to roll enough to catch a bunch of water and throw us all from the boat. The boat begins to sink. Stuff is everywhere. We are all OK and frantically trying to save the boat. Jenny hands me my oar and says "I saved your GoPro Eddie!" I thank her and place it in the raft. That's the last time I saw it. I have no clue what happened. I assume it got bumped and bounced out and sank 40ft to the bottom of the murky lake. We did save the boat by pulling it underwater to shore. It later ran out of gas on the way back and we had to get towed. It's called the Leaky Pinnace.Anyway, these oars were a good replacement since the raft belongs to my parents.

Good for price
I gave these 5 stars because for the ridiculous low amount of money they cost they exceeded expectations. I just needed some paddles for my 10ft Livingston to row out and check my crab pods and work fine for that. They look like paddles you would use on a kids inflatable but the shafts are strong, the actual paddle part is made of flexible plastic and do flex a bit but for normal paddling they work fine. One thing to note is they are a little short, work fine for my boat but probably wouldn’t work for a larger row boat.

They work, but are not durable
I used this set of oars twice, so far, when maneuvering close to the dock. I am not experienced with boating.I stepped on one of the paddles, cracking the blade nearly in half. I fixed this by riveting on 2 small steel plates. [See picture.] Then I assembled the last section of handle that was in a side pocket of the boat. I was surprised to see how curved it was. [See picture]. As you can see, the other handle sections are relatively straight, despite being left out in the sun. These paddles were the cheapest, I am glad I have them, but, if I see a pair of wooden paddles in a pawn shop, I will buy them to use instead.

Better than expected!
These Intex oars are even better and sturdier than I expected!First, I must say that I love Intex products.Every Intex pool/water product we have bought has lasted season after season. So when I was searching for oars on Amazon and saw the Intex brand I didn't hesitate to order them. The are made extremely well and we are looking forward to hours of fun using them.

Perfect replacement for our broken originals
We have a Seahawk 4 and broke a paddle last year. We needed a replacement for our river trip this year and these worked perfectly. The only downside is unscrewing the shafts can be hard after use, because that have to be tight or the flex too much. Took a little muscle to unscrew them after the trip.
