Excellent cutting/trimming power
I recently bought a lawnmower (same make) and it is so light and easy to use (important when you have difficulty walking), so I thought Iād replace my old, mains-powered trimmer with one of these. There is minimal (5 screws) assembly time. It, also, shares a common battery with my lawnmower - hence the choice - so I now have several batteries to use between them (bought additional ones, separately).Again, the heaviest part is the battery, but I find itās so well balanced, I can use it with one hand and a crutch on the other arm.Just finished edging my lawn and have to say Iām very pleased with it. Super easy to use - and really good with battery life, which is a bonus!I *thought* it had multiple blades, but it only needs the one.20 are supplied, which is good, as Iāve just used 4½ with it. Will need to buy more blades, but the are good value. If you can find them, when they fly off after hitting something hard for a while, they are still useable, just shorter.Overall, going battery, I will never go back - especially as I can share the batteries between a huge range of products!Did the lawn in a fifth of the time it would normally have taken me, before I had mobility issues, so very happy,Recommended!

Nifty Trimmer
Iām new to trimmers, but when my garden started resembling something out of āThe Day of the Triffidsā, I knew I had to do something. Nothing but a strimmer would cut it - pardon the pun. I wanted something simple to operate, and preferably something that wouldnāt punish me for my innate clumsiness. Ideally, due to the fact that Iām no gardener and likely to talk myself out of sorting out said garden, I wanted a strimmer that I could grab and go when the mood suited me. This strimmer seemed to fit the bill. First off the strimmer itself is pretty easy to put together - just 5 screws to assemble the main body. Then there s the strimmer guard which is a bit more fiddly, mainly due to the design, which requires you to slot it in to the main body of the strimmer. After it falling off a few times, I managed to secure it and it has since stayed on. Now the blades. One is already supplied on the strimmer, you just need to push it down onto the smallest hole of the blade to secure. Using: itās pretty lightweight and easy to use. On my first use the blades kept flying off but much of this had to do with my āhacking motionā. The blades wore down quickly, too. You need to stand in an upright stance and keep the strimmer low and level. This maintains good cutting power - which all in all is impressive. Youāll get a good 40-50 minutes strimming time on a fully charged battery. But, back to the blades. They cut through grass like butter, but on tougher weeds the blade still has a habit of flying off. Itās easy to put back on and reuse, but a little annoying. Also, very importantly, wear some protective eye wear, just in case a rogue pebble or spiky weed comes flying at your face. Finally, be aware of your surroundings! If you donāt want to smash windows from flying debris like pebbles - your own or your neighbours - keep the circular guard facing you when strimming. Your shins might take a pounding but itās better than shelling out for new windows. Twenty blades are supplied with the strimmer but you can buy generic versions cheaply on Amazon.A 4 star review is justified by the blade issue. A solution needs to be found to stop the annoying things flying off.Otherwise, a great strimmer.

One power supply to rule them all !!
Even though the charge dock & the power supply are sold separately I still give it maximum love! One power supply & one charge dock for such a big range of items is such a great idea to reduce the carbon footprint, as it were. The strimmer itself is an absolute joy to use as it's so light-weight, which makes control so very easy. One charge of the battery was enough to trim back & edge around 25 square feet of garden with charge to spare. An added plus is the cutter it uses. It uses little plastic blades instead of wire so you get the job done quickly, unlike wire strimmers where you are CONSTANTLY stopping to untangle & change because it breaks so easily. The strimmer came with a plastic cutting blade as well as a spare pack, plus we bought a spare pack as well. The blades are so durable & one will last for ages!! They are much preferred to wire!! & great little item & worth paying that little extra for the quality & battery powered portability. Well worth investing in one & glad we did!

OK strimmer VERY light weight!
I only brought this as I have other Eidehll products and a battery already, i thought the Einhell Power X-Change 18V Cordless Strimmer - 24cm Cutting Width, was to heavy for me. This product is really light weight product and is easy to use. The only reason I haven't given it more stars is because the 'hook' where the plastic cutter goes is a odd shape and didn't come with the correct piece to tighten. I tried a Allen key(no use), spanner (no use) and multiple screw drivers (no use) I ended up tighten by hand. I would give more stars if I could find the ideal piece to tighten this. Ultimately this is a great Ryobi set alternative.

Brilliant strimmer. It's very lightweight. I have arthritis in my lower back. It has no impact on it. I'm short and so is the strimmer. Best buy in a long time.
