Polygonatum odoratum 'Variegatum' (Variegated Solomons Seal) Perennial, white flowers, 1 - Size Container

Before I decided to purchase this I posted a question - Have others received plants that are similar to that pictured? Four buyers responded, Yes. So, I ordered.I am so thrilled with what I received, I wish I could let others know beyond leaving this review here on Amazon!Let's start with the packaging. Each plant - I ordered three Polygonatum odoratum 'Variegatum' (Variegated Solomons Seal) - was separately packaged in a tall box. The plant container is secured at the bottom of the box and there is plenty of room in the box for the foliage. The leaves of the plant are neither squished nor constricted in any way. When I opened the box I discovered that the plant container, in addition to being secured in two ways - pushed in corner cut-outs of the box and a cardboard collar - is in a plastic bag that is loosely gathered at the base of the plant and tied off. I have made many purchases over the years from many online plant sellers. Green Promise Farms is by far the very best at shipping plants.Now the plants. I ordered three Polygonatum odoratum 'Variegatum' (Variegated Solomons Seal). The plants were undamaged - as a result of the careful handling and the secure packaging - and very healthy in appearance. I transplanted them to my garden the day they arrived (today - and I'm pooped!) Unlike a few other buyers who left reviews, I lack the skill and confidence to split the plants. I did, however, give each root ball a shake to loosen the roots (there were very healthy and extensive root systems in all three of the plants). One of the three plants did separate a bit so I was able to plant two plants apart from the cluster. I will add that other plants I have purchased from other online sellers - and even some plants from a local nursery - lose some root mass when taken out of the container. Not these! That tells me that the entire root structure is healthy and strong!I apologize for not posting photos - I was so eager to open the packages and place the plants in the ground since today was a cool day that I didn't even think about adding photos. But, despite my lack of photos, please know that I have no hesitation whatsoever ordering additional plants from Green Promise Farms!

One gallon pot? Yes this healthy plant came in a one gallon pots. The problem is the plant was a rooted cutting that should have stayed in the field another year before selling.I do not recommend purchasing this plant.

This arrived well packaged and in great condition; way healthier than what I see at the big box stores. It’s nice sized and disease free. I am pleased and would buy more if I could afford them. I’ve spent a small fortune on plants this year that have served as nothing more than a deer buffet. In fact I named a fawn living at my place Petunia because clearly that is her favorite food. I don’t know if they will devour this plant. I don’t have it in the ground yet. They seem to ignore the deer resistant tags. I suppose they can’t read those. I am pleased with the quality of this plant and I’m sure my deer will be too.

I was hesitant to purchase plants on Amazon. Gave it a shot and I’m very happy. It came fast, well packaged and a good plant. I was hoping the plants would be a little larger but it was a good size and hopefully will thrive in my shade garden.Just make sure to open package as instructed on box or u will be pulling the plant by the leaves out of box.The plant was a little small but it was healthy.I had a hard time finding these plants on my local nurseries, even tried to grow from seeds which was a disaster. Hoping that these will thrive and all I will need to do it split very fall or spring.My only ding is the size.

The plant arrived beautiful. I was able to seperate into 6 seperate plants to put in ground. 3 have flourished 3 are on the struggle bus, however it's most likely due to how late I decided to put them in ground. I have complete faith that they will all return next season. Good price great quality!

The plant had one bulb in the container and it has no leaves .It had been more than three weeks and I am still not sure if it is alive. Not worth tge price.

I initially purchased two plants - one was of great quality and is still thriving in my garden, but the second one looked unhealthy. It's leaves were pale and yellow. I planted it hoping it was just unhappy with the shipping conditions, and while I waited to see if it recovered, I ordered a third plant to further fill in the garden bed. The third plant was tiny compared to the first two - like half the size, but looked to be in great condition. The unhealthy plant has since died. My mistake - I should have returned it as soon as it arrived instead of trying to save it, because now it's too late for a refund. And perhaps even more foolish, I ordered a fourth plant to replace the dead one, and it has arrived looking just as healthy. It leaves are faded and yellow, and based on my experience with the other one, I am sure it will soon die. Soooo... all of this is to say, maybe you get a great plant. Maybe it will be big and beautiful and thrive in your garden. But it's more likely you will a very small plant or one that is unhealthy and dying.

Beautiful healthy plants—do not be fooled by the picture or some reviews—The pot arrived with a single (healthy) stem—*not many stems as it was pictured.
