I bought this to allow me to use my phone as a GPS in the car. This version clips to the louvres of the car air vent which is what I wanted but they also sell another version which attaches to the dashboard via a magnet.The unit is a high quality design which looks and feels good but more importantly attaches securely to the air vent and does not become detached. It can be easily removed if you want to use it in more than one car (a hire car for example) and the grip clip is extremely sturdy unlike some other flimsy holders that I have had in the past.I found it best to clip it to the bottom louvre of the vent and the ball-joint design made it very easy to position the angle so that the phone was in the best and direct angle of view. Once fitted the unit does not move at all with the vibration of the car even when going over speed bumps or potholes. The phone attaches by magnetism (two metal disks included which affix to the back of the phone) and this is strong enough (even through a phone case) to hold the phone firmly in place.This is a high quality unit which will last for years, it is a very effective design which works very well and it is small enough to slip into a pocket for example if using a hire car on holiday. Highly recommended.

I did a lot of research before selecting this phone holder and must admit, I was sceptical. However thanks to a reviewers video of it in action (thanks for that!) I thought I'd give it a try.There is a quality feel to product and the 'grip' feels like it has a rubberised coating so will not damage the car vents. I have a Nokia 7 plus and it holds this with no issues, even over speed bumps.It comes with a plastic coating to apply over the metal plate (if you are sticking this to your case as I did) to prevent any scratches to the back of the phone. I really nice touch as I was concerned about this.I have both horizontal and vertical vents in my car and I found the horizontal ones did pull closed from the weight when my phone was applied, however there are no issue with the vertical vent.Overall, really impressed with the quality of the product and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

The magnet in this is amazing, my phone stays attached to it even when it comes off and flies across the car. The downside is the crocodile teeth, in my car it doesn't seem to surround the grill so much as sit on it and grip it, which isn't enough to hold it. Every once in a while it slips off and the whole mount ends up somewhere on the floor. When it comes to holding the phone though it does an excellent job, I just think the crocodile clip could be better, and maybe have it patch behind the AC grill.

I have used this to hold my honor x7b phone, my phone is on the bigger side so was nervous of buying this but it is really good the magnet is strong, it fits my air vents well on my car and seems to hold my phone steady as long as ensure I line up the magnets fully, if slightly off my phone will slide slowly. It's easy to use and found that the quality is really good so far.Read the discription of applying the magnet to your phone case it is really important! Depending on the material of your phone case the magnet might not stick..I would higly recommend but ensure you follow the sellers advice in the discription.

I'm really happy with this. As a delivery driver who needs to take their phone off at every stop, this magnetic design makes sense. It fits in the air vent of my BMW and it's super sturdy! Every bump, hump and pothole I hit, it stays with the car. As for the extra level of protection you get with the device to stick on to your phone, is rather impressive!It feels expensive, but it isn't!I would highly recommend this!

The car phone holder arrived beautifully packed and was put to use immediately. Two plates - round and rectangular - are provided to attach to your phone. I chose the round one and it was very straightforward to position it on the shock case I use on my phone - helped by the clear adhesive disc. The magnet fitted easily in all the air vents on my Land Rover Discovery, before deciding on the best position. It works really well , so much so, that I have ordered and received another holder for my wife's car.

I've given this one star overall in the hope it draws attention and prevents others making the same mistake as me.This item is great value and works for 'normal' smartphones that you plug in to charge, however something that is NOT AT ALL CLEAR in the description is that for this holder to work you have to place the supplied small adhesive metal plate on the back of either your phone or phone case ... and there's the rub ... IT TOTALLY REMOVES THE SMART CHARGING FUNCTIONALITY OF YOUR PHONE! (in my case and iPhone 13 pro max).So for any normal cable charged device OR if you want to totally brick your phones smart charging functionality then I would recommend it like thousands have, but this is TOTALLY UNSUITABLE FOR A MAGSAFE IPHONE or similar smart charger phones. Additionally regards compatibility I found on my Audi TT round vents the jaws of the clamp couldn't be inserted fully to grip properly so I would expect it to easily fall off on a bumpy ride.

Everything works great but needs something to stabilise it to stop the vent falling down. Plus magnets so strong it pulls out of the vent half the time.
