Garbage

Plug n play huh? No. Good luck hunting down the driver and then good luck getting it to install properly. What a huge waste of time. It doesnt work, but if I could get it to actually function, maybe I could test it out, however, judging by other reviews on the internet, I need to coat it in silicone to prevent it from getting destroyed by the elements since it is far from even so much as weather resistant.

NIce Radio, but not for outside

I have several of these radios. The packaging and sensitivity is nice. Further the external connector design for a large Omni is very well made.Even though the radio looks like it was designed for outside installation, it does not work well over time. I have had three of these radios fail after being installed outdoors.Moisture from condensation gets inside the plastic and inside the USB connection. The water shorts the radio connection and causes it to fail.Although I like the concept of the radio and general performance, it does not work well when installed outdoors.

this is the second one that has failed,, no matter how well you seal it it still some how gets moisture inside and shorts out the board.
