Good hooby product.
Another sample of the quality that Tamiya puts in his product. Ideal for hobbyist. Using mine for a small half track model. Rubber tracks, easy to assemble and can adapt to different lenghts

Cheap and does the job, but drive wheels easily strip
You can't beat it for the price, but beware that the geared wheels (which drive the track) easy strip their hexagonal hole. The problem is that the hexagonal surface is only perhaps 1-2mm rather than the entire depth of the wheel.I've had to replace stripped wheels because of this flaw.

Spare parts for 70108
If you are looking for spare parts for Tamiya tracked vehicle #70108 this will work. It looks the same in the pics but didn’t specify that it could be used for that purpose but works fine. Another reviewer mentioned he tore up the tracks removing them from the parts tree they are fastened to. Well you are supposed to snip them off not tear them off.

Very versatile kit, different length track sections, good strong materials with in reason
I have used these tracks for small SMARS bots up to replacing the wheels on a omnibot 2000 for refurbishment. Just remember that these aren't $100 plus metal track kits.

Great for small tracked vehicles
These tracks are a pain to assemble, but once you have them together they work GREAT. They come in multiple pieces allowing you to size them based on your needs. I recommend using these with (http://amzn.com/B001VZHRU4) and (http://amzn.com/B001Q13BIU) but they have screws if you would rather attach them to a wooden block. The hex rod is SLIGHTLY smaller diameter than the round rods, so if a wheel is slipping off check if you used the right rod.I used this for my drive system on a bluetooth arduino robot.Pros:InexpensiveGreat tractionCons:Assembly

Purchased this along with the universal plate and the double gearbox set (which came with 2 motors). Put Arduino and a motor shield from Adafruit on top of it (actually they were a bit too large, esp including 2 batteries needed to power Arduino and motors so the kids built a body from Lego blocks on top and around the chassis so everything would fit it). Now I'm making them write programs to make the thing drive along predefined path on the floor. Who said you can't teach C++ to a 7-year old? :))

Pretty lousy
The product came open and crushed with the sprues and treads failing out of the box which looked like it was aged from eons ago. Regardless, nothing was missing, but I have no clue what purpose the kit served. I figured it was parts that could be used to replace broken or missing parts from other models. However, this set seems to be for R/C. It’s useless for me, but cheap and not worth the return hassle.
